I have no plans for completing the adventure before the DO is handed in. It will be resolved after.

Do I understand you correctly then when I think not a single move of the units involved will get dealt with before DO's have been turned in?

It hasn't been long and already the soldiers have begun quarreling. The IHH templars are prickly fellows who are loathe to take orders from sun-loving Khinasi and their allies.

The colossus of Tornilen is causing more fear than anything...and it's not like the soldiers of Tornilen are really welcome in these parts. Already there have been incidents between them (who are largely Cuiarécen men) and the highly religious men of Elinie (largely Avanale and Haelyn).

Perhaps this was not such a great idea.

A pissing contence and allthough we know who will win being on their home turf this is so much going to be used against us later when the Grey fella poke our respective units. Now when to say it is "just normal arrogance" and when it is"mindcontrolled ghouls"  ::)

(As soon as) Baronettess Tilgentor (finds out that she is part of a collum that actively agress against the people she is here to help she) thanks the Pontiff (or one of his officers) and the Duchess (or one of her officers) for the escort. She then (orderly breaks formation and) informs an Elinien sergent that the troops that Countess el-Mesir of Ilien were able to send are ready to be escorted to their camp site.

Spirit seems to be high among the Ilieneese units as they distance distance themselfs from the Giant living statue and the moving blobs of fire.

I believe she dont find out a thing before after having arrived safely to camp but OoC Niels can note your willingness to oblige  ;D

OOC: It is irrelevant if it takes Ilien 5 minutes or 15 hours to extract themselves from the column. Since they are not physically disabled and have horses, they will be able to speak to Elinien troops eventually, who will in all likelihood help them extract. (And with "help" I do not mean trying to use force against your hooligans. I mean leading them to alternate paths.)

Especially if its obvious to observers that IHH is being abusive about it.

I don't like the attempt to dictate what is possible for another player to do or not. You can play with the timing, sure, but short of doing something really horribly stupid, Ilien's all mounted units can turn left and leave with moments notice and go back on the road up ahead.

In particular since the column is now reduced to walking pace with the Armsmen now on foot.

It can also, safely, be assumed even if not detailed, that all participating factions in the column have scouts at the head, or at the very minimum sends up scouts as soon as an order to stop comes down. - Controlling information in the column might work if it was in a tunnel, but you are on  the wide open plains.

I'll not make more comments on this particular event, but feel free to post your comment.

EDIT: I believe the Ilien contingent is both mounted and consisting of units light enough to be able to forgo having actual wagons with them.

OoC: I would say Ilien can send up someone to investigate what takes place first unless they have magic means to know what takes place a kilometer or more up ahead. Then they can attempt to move away from the road and pass the collum in front of them with their wagon and all their stuff. It goes without saying they are not exactly popular with the IHH for this feat. Should they try to force their way through the units of IHH on the road they will be hindered. In the later case there will be some sort of fallout later.

Dictate? I would mean I did not. But fact is the juniors of Ilien turned up unannounced without prior arrangement in Roesone and was integrated in a collum. So how they where to be placed was not without MY influence. But I did write it OoC and I specifically started with "I would say.."

The collum have been walking pace all the time since Tornilien due to other units having lower speed. I meant for the wagons and stuff Niels. And if you know something about how close packed bodies of troops marched its not exactly easy to take over during the march. Not without active cooperation.

But the Facisit followers of the Sun god did try to dictate all sort of stuff  :P

But I would like to know for sure wether or not the Ilien soldiers try to disengage from the collum and move up ahead (take over the collum with all their wagons and stuff) or if they dont. Then I will know how to handle it IC in case the units involved meet again later

Come on people.

Does this really matter?

Yes, Elinie was rude. Yes, Bellamie and, to a minor degree, IHH overreacted. Yes, the Swordmage suddenly ran ahead and had a meeting, apparantly forgetting to meet with the IHH. Yes, tensions are high. However, we are being silly and breaking mood.

I suggest:
Somehow Ilien's troops moved past, once they were moving it was just easier to let them pass.
Somehow Wallac and Marya agrees to keep scouts out at the 1-3 miles range and just keep going.
Somehow we all arrive at our designated camps and then go to participate in the meeting.
SOMEHOW WE ALL HAVE CAKE.

I'll have two pieces.

Let's move on people, let's get to the interesting stuff. And for the record, I am trying to be constructive and make suggestions, I am not trying to order any other players. This is just my opinion.

LPA - keep in mind that the Scrying spell does not exist in Anuire and that realm magic is generally required to scry anything... I know you're using divination, but it would also be a kind of anticlimatic solution to the whole problem of the tombs location and the Rashid family's bond.

Scryings and divinations are very different constructs.

Scryings tells you exactly where something is.

Divinations tell you that something might be a good course of action.

In the past, divinations have been utilizes as non-realm magic.

I dont know how divinations work in RoE, but in the D&D campains I have played it was more or less how people that were completely stuck asked the gods for help and more often than not got useless or directly misleading answers.

Not even close.  More often than not, they are little more than ways to advance story/plot.
