BR Cardsheet 1/front page has some rules for the Anuirean language.
One of them is that there is no letter 'k'. Instead that sound is represented by the letter 'c'.
So what about Kaven Enlien, Huse Kavarra, etc.?
Well, language is not static. And the 15-16th Centuries are something of a Renaissance for Anuire. So the letter 'k' has started to creep into everyday use. It's not really proper, but its modern and somewhat in vogue.
So Kaven should have been named Caven or (more archaic) Caeven, but his old folks thought Kaven had a nice ring to it.
And House Kavarra has ties to the North, and used to have Brecht ties as well, so there is that (but it should be Cavarra -and that is probably how a Dieman noble or obnoxious scholar would write it).
Along the same lines for weird names like Xavier Zenneth of Serien. Zenneth should be Senneth, but their are weird down in Mieres. And Xavier is a Masetian name.
