OpenOffice
« on: July 21, 2009, 06:02:23 PM »
Hi,

I've recently installed v3+ of OpenOffice and spent some time playing with it. It's finally good enough to warrant a switch from MS Office. For the time being I've only started using the writer (I'm still using MS Excel). From now on all text filed will be published in a nice pdf format (thanks to the nice pdf converter in the writer). Players wanting to play with the text files can request the -odt version from me (which is easily converted to .doc afterward).

I've been using OpenOffice for most of my RoE work lately. Works fine, except from the odd corruption of table layouts when switching too much between OO and MS. OO supports .doc files, so no need to change from that.

I'm using OpenOffice since before the beginning of RoE2 so it would be great if I could use an odt DO.
