Advantage and Hardness after the S&C
« on: March 15, 2009, 10:30:44 PM »
I suspect many will have flashy new treaties outlining advantage and hardness after the S&C.

Are we able to implement these in the DO for this turn, or does the effects not begin until next season?

Diplomacy, if successful, takes effect from the following turn.
"We are RuinsofEmpire now, and when we act, we create our own reality."

Hmmm... Could someone provide an example of this?

You and Osoerde agree that Osoerdan troops will have military access to Coeranys. This takes place in a diplomacy action in turn 62. From turn 63 his troops may freely move through your realm.

You agree in turn 62 with one of your guilds that your Construction actions will receive Guild Advantage from then on.  Construction actions performed in turn 62 will receive no Advantage.  Construction actions performed in turn 63 and beyond will receive Advantage.

You cast Bless Land in turn 62; the spell has its effect during turn 63.

Conceptually similar;

The GBs made available in the P&H at the start of turn 63 are those collected by your domain throughout turn 62.

That's the general idea; things take effect the turn after they happen.
