P&H changes
« on: March 08, 2011, 01:36:29 PM »
The P&H is undergoing a major revision.

There are several goals:

1. Make it more user-friendly
2. Improve the quality of data
3. Expand it to include all over Cerilia+

It's a rather big job, so I'll be working on it for several turns. So you'll have to accept that things will change back and forth a bit.

- The biggest change you'll see for P&H 70 is that all the domains are grouped into one 'regional worksheet' called simply Domains!
- Actually only the Heartlands, South Coast and Eastern marches are included, but more regions will follow.
- There is also a sheet called 'Domain pivot!' - which is a very simple pivot table that allows you to sort domains by region, sub-region, realm and type and get out into like RP collection and Income.
- Eventually this will mean that the regional sheets will either go away completely, or be set up to just filter out the most commonly used info so you can quickly look at any given region to get an image of who the movers and shakers are. Still considering that one.
- There is also a sheet called Regents! - it's empty for now.
- If you look at the Template! sheet you'll get any idea of what the realm pages will look like in the future (convenient little lookup functions that automatically list ongoing prosp modifiers for example).

More to come.

I've added a version of P&H 70 to the downloads section so you can have a look.

Obviously it doesn't contain the final action data.

My first impression is that the new format really rocks! Super cool and very use friendly. I am sure it is well worth the effort for those that have made al the work  :)

The new layout looks great!

An issue with the numbers:
Sheet: "Storm Coast" BRG extra expenses in Cell AL56 the value is 20 and it is noted as "Grants to nobles"
Adding together the numbers in cells AK35 - AK 40 adds up to 30 and they are all noted as "Grant from BRG"

So one or more of the numbers must be wrong, since BRG give out 10GB more than they pay.

..And I am just wondering if it is correct that Ilien has increased in province level?... And that SAS gets half the guild ?!?

Not that I should care much about it either way, but it seems strange that the province should grow so shortly after it was said that it wouldn´t happen in this gametime unless a serious amount of rule realm actions were spendt (under 10 turns ago), and after so much levy have been raised....

Actually I prefere that the guild is divided between more than one... It just seems odd that all the other plans for dividing Ilien was relayed to me, but not this, even though I objected to SASI getting the Guild... No harm, no foul and all the better though ^_^

The P&H doesn't properly reflect PC actions - I uploaded it only for you to see the new format.

Even though this DO does not reflect reality, maybe the above indicates exactly why you might not get the task of dividing guild holdings?  ;D

See I totally approve of this, and I think it makes sense given the righteous Haelyn fearing man that Arron is  ;D

The basic gist is that GeM has voluntarily invested her PCE holdings to the SASI, much of her law to the IHH etc.

Hey, everyone that might matter are happy:

The Archduke of Diemed is happy. The Pontiff of All Anuire is happy. SASI is happy. Kaven Enlien is happy. KoH is happy. GeM is happy even. I'm sure there are even more happy people. Very unusual for RoE. The wisdom of the Pontiff cannot be questioned!

Ghorien is not happy. But I expect that was a deliberate part of the Pontiff's wisdom.
