Look what I commissioned!

Okay, I have to show this off, since I'm so darned thrilled about it.
I went absolutely berzerk and spent a large sum of money to have an Austrian cartographer create this map for me, for use in a setting/game I am presently looking at (gunpowder-fantasy).

Almost every single name and location has been provided by me (he suggested a few himself, which I readily agreed to), as well as the general design of the flags, and through dozens of mails things where changed and redone until it now is near-completion (It needs to say Cimbria instead of Cimeria, but that's that). Once the map is completed and our contract (yes, I actually signed a contract on the commission) completed, I will hold full rights to this baby, including the right to distribute it commercially (as in, should I ever write a book, I could dump it in and print it in the thousands if I wanted it).

This is definitely something I would consider spending money on again in the future. And I admit I'm already considering how the Birthright-maps would look, if given an overhaul by someone as talented as this fellow.

I'll chip in to a map of RoE  - but would request a layered map on the computer - i.e. geography, geography + bjorn's added isles of the west/deismarr, province borders, province numbers, realm borders, etc.

That would make it a live project as you could update the numbers files, etc and keep it current, and also use it for RoE or for vanilla.

Of course you would get copyright issues if you tried to sell it / post it on br.net (sadly).

And, of course, I'd want it to be printable on A3 - I can't afford an A2 printer 

Hmm, I think I should be bearing much of the cost with that wishlist, but god it's tempting.

And I'm with Kasper and Andy, getting a layered one for ROE would get an easy 10$ from me.
