I played World in Flames back in the 90's as well and while I dont recall calling the dice I was quite successfull using math and probability especially on the eastfront  8)

Linde you two cant split the world so you'll have to be king in your home asuming Helene alows it  :P

Pure mind games...worked as intended. Got the enemy dispirited and certain of his own defeat. Made him do mistakes and act defensively. That was what really happened.
