Domain info

The game is, as well you know, not ready to start just yet. But I'm sensing an eagerness from old and new players for more info on their domains. I really can't take the time to answer those questions, or we will NEVER get to start the game 

I AM contemplating releasing old domain descriptions...so that you will have something to read while you wait...but I'm not sure. I want this to be a new game, so linking in with the old is a bad idea. Most of those descriptions were valid round turn 40 - 5 years ago - AND I'm bound to alter some details just to make this new game more interesting.

So what do you think? Release old domain descriptions or not?

Or better yet, wasn't there a consolidated Region book?  Something which can at least give players an idea of the overall flavor.

I'm happy to wait, Bjørn.  But then my character and the standing of her realm have undergone some significant changes since turn 40, so much of the old description wouldn't be that useful to me anyway.

I can wait also, but It might help new players get the feel of the setting perhaps, so they can start bombarding their sponsors with questions about RoE before game start

As long as everyone agrees and understands that RoE II will change some or alot of stuff, I doubt it can hurt.

Thanks, Bjorn. I hope it's not too much trouble, but it will be nice to have something to whet the appetite, and I can stop bugging Alan on a quite-so-regular basis!

I'll finish and post the campaign history update first, then I'll send out the old domain descriptions. Combined they might give an idea to the status of this.

Just remember that the asset section will be altered quite a bit for all domains; AND most (if not all) regents and NPCs will have their level reduced a bit, in keeping with the design diary comments.

Revised (new) ones are under production...
