The main IC site is Anvil, what is essentially a village that serves as the place of summit once every 3 months. There 10 "nations" which make up the Empire turn up. The photos are mostly taken in that camp/village; hence the tavern and all the tents. Gives it a real living settlement feel :)

It looks sweet! But you know what, you should have a look at some of the pre-fab houses for larp-purposes made by the Danish group "Einherjerne". If you get in touch with the guys behind them, I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving you a few pointers on how to do these yourself, and it really helps create a city-environment. Here's a couple of pictures with them in use, and one being assembled.

Speaking from personal experience, it doesn't take long to set up or pull down one of these bubbah's - they're made for quick assembly/disassembly - and they add tons to the setting. I was part of a city watch in a game a couple of years back, and there's a huge difference between patrolling a tent-camp, and actually walking down streets and alleys lined with houses.

If its something you want to look into, I can try to hook you up with a contact on my side o' the pond. They're based in the city I live in, so it should be doable.
