Game designer John Wick sets out to change the task-resolution of the D20-system, without changing anything on the character sheet. Pretty interesting (I think).

yeah, that might actually be playable. But he lost me in the Q&A vidio. (I don't see what it adds to the game that player death becomes more of a certainty than a risk.)
