I am curious what realms border Massenmarch to the east.
Yes, wyrmling, the meat is made all the more tender by armor...

In Canon BR is Treucht, one of the "nicest" realms of all Cerilia.

I don't know if Bjorn has made some changes in RoE

I always say Treucht as a buffer state beholden to Muden for real defence, but given the Brecht sea-view it would be fair to say that most of the Brecht realms border Massenmarch as it open into the bay as do most other Brecht realms.

I'd expect both Muden and Danigau to be currently looking at Massenmarch with extreme concern with the weaker realms equally concerned but without the strength to do anything about it.  That said they would be fairly concerned if the Crusade 'liberated' Massenmarch or Kiergard and installed an Anuirean lord in the Swordhawk's place.

Not to be the one to give the DM evil ideas (like he needs them  :P ), but, seeing how the Gorgon has been neutralized in Anuire, and now another Anuirean crusade threatens to eliminate another powerful awnshegh.... wouldn't that ring an alarm bell with, say. the White Witch, the Magian or the Serpent?

Just sayin' they might not like one another much, but they sure should have survival instincts ;)

As someone who always saw the Gorgon as having a basement chained full not just of pet dragon, but also awnie children, remnant beasts of azrai, demons etc as dooms-day weapons / toys that we haven't seen more 'new' awnies popping up to try to claim weak realms.

Personally I think that the spider - if sane enough - should be worried, with the Chimeara added to your list Anuire is rapidly being depleted of 'name awnies', we're getting more undead fiends, demons, and azrai-twisted heretics though so it all evens out.    :P
