DM vacation

My vacation starts today and last until August 16th.

Unfortunately I was in the middle of DO processing when the last shred of inspiration fled from my brain...I've been searching for it ever since, but with no luck thus far. It's not that it would take me that many hours to complete the last DOs and upload the other stuff, but I sit down in front of the PC and...nothing. So it looks like it will be a bit longer before the rest of you get your DOs back. I need to relax a bit and recharge some batteries and deal with some RL shite.

...but suddenly the inspiration will be back and DOs will start dropping into mailboxes near you... :P

Hopefully you won't spend the whole time 'dealing with shite'.  Enjoy yourself, man, and come back charged up.  But not too charged up.  That always ends baaaaadly for us.    ;)

Day 4: Spending quality time reading a bit about astronomy - another subject of interest to me. Found a nice database combining HIP (1997) data with several other sources, presenting a nice package of near stars. Cut away everything beyond 200 ly and washed it a bit - and imported into an old application for viewing stars in 3D (ChView). Very relaxing :P

...now I just found out there is a new 2007 revision of the HIP catalog - I so should not have started down this path...those are STARS, they can just move around, change their color or turn out to be multiple stars!!!

Also spending time with family...going on a trip the day after tomorrow :)

Day 10: Back from Sweden. Lazy days in the sun. Finished the current Dark Heresy adventure. Making ready for a PnP weekend in August. Resumed work on RoE...if there is rain I might even get it done ;)

Oh and I like rain even without considering its apperent positive influence on RoE motivation for our GM to begin with - now I guess I have to mkae a happy dance  ;D

Day 14: 6 parsecs out from Sol, only 2.5 more to go before we reach 61 Virginis...the rest of the crew are in nanostasis, all systems green...oh wait, detecting massive unexplainable breakdown in all Samsung-built components. Warning! You have 17 minus to reach minimum safe distance...

...yesterday my spanking new LCD-TV decided to break down after less than three weeks of operation. Lets pray that Samsung doesn't get the contract to produce all onboard displays for humanity's first interstellar expedition  >:(
