Guy allows his eye to wander to the crone from time to time, concerned she may be a spellcaster, and wondering how many people a fireball would kill.
Wondering or worrying?
Wondering definately. Its an analytical thing. He contemplates the area of a fireball, hrm, (does he make that spellcraft check?) 20x20, now, how many people are in that area. Would any of them survive the fireball if they managed to dive for cover (make their save). Would I surive the fireball if it was targetted here.
Guy has an active mind, always thinking about possible, unlikely, scenarios.
For instance, "What if Rhoubhe showed up here and now, with a dozen of his most trusted Ghaellie Sidhe. Would we survive? A Black Tentacles spell would likely make most of the Knights immoblized. A mirror-imaged, hasted, stoneskinned, armored, shielded, greater magic-weapon'ed, flying, improved invisible Rhoubhe would kill me in about 20 seconds, and could take out Laela in even less time. If I threw myself at him, and my bodyguards did the same, could we hold him back long enough for Laela to escape? Would that elf general see to his duty and get her out of her, or insist on fighting Rhoubhe himself"
