Pathfinder Campaign Setting (Heir to D&D 3.5e)
« on: July 09, 2011, 04:44:06 PM »
Does anyone have experience with the Pathfinder setting by Pazio?  I recently played it and actually greatly enjoy the setting.

I have a group of friends (same guys I play BR tabletop with) who're doing a Dragonmech setting game using the Pathfinder system.  They love it.

It is seriously growing on me.

It has seriously improved classes and rules modifications which make play extremely smooth, good and interesting.

I was thinking that some of the rules would be very good for RoEII in terms of character building and what not.

Actually, I have an electronic version of the rules book, and a few others.  I would highly encourage ppl to purchase the books because they really are not expensive (like $10-$15 for the electronic copy).

I will see if I can set up a dropbox or something like that for the books.

I think so too, Niels!

I think RoE could seriously make use of the various class 'archetypes' and there is a very very cool system for 'Word Magic' that I feel like could have a place for the Spellsinger.

Incidentally, there are also rules for 'kingdoms' that are also interesting.

But I agree that Pathfinder is a good system, and I DM a Pathfinder campaign too.

Moving to a bigger apartment has allowed me to put my old 2nd Ed AD&D-books up again. I almost get a tear in my eye just from thinking about it. You guys with your fancy new-age RPG-shit. Pfff... back in the good old days...  ;D

Heh, yea, since RoE is pretty much without class.

Err... classes, I meant classes. :-)
