Second War of the Straits?
« on: July 01, 2009, 03:18:54 AM »
Hey all, I'm playing as Mhistecai in another Birthright game and I can't seem to find any info online about the Second War of the Straits. Anyone know where I may be able to find out about it?

http://dndworlds.net/brwiki/index.php/Mhistecai Discusses the 2nd war of the straits as being when "Avanil established authority over Mieres and deposed the old baronial family for the direct rule of a Governor sent by Avanil. Today Mieres is administered by a governor, Arron Vaumel, although the post has become hereditary as local upbringing proved useful in keeping control of the colony."

http://dndworlds.net/brwiki/index.php/Isolde_Mierelen Also mentions it briefly, though no dates are used for the action in question. It also details some more of the break away of the "colony" from Avanese control, though again without dates.

Hope that helps.

The BR Wiki isn't RoE dogma, though you can use it as inspirational material.

There's further info to be found in each domain description, you can find them in the downloads section. Apart from that, ask away!

Absolutely agree, but Les said he was playing in another game. A quick google search showed that to be the only references in the whole of the web world so figured it was a reasonable bet that his other game was using that background piece  ;D

Thanks matt, unfortunately that was all I had found myself. I was just grasping for straws in hopes of finding something more detailed about it. The Mhistecai I play is about to be ruler over Mieres at Prince Avan's request. If I survive the battle with the Gorgon. So I'm trying to make claiming my Birthright as interesting as possible in the next set of turns :)

Well as I said, you can look at the Domain Descriptions in the downloads section here. There's one for Mhistecai and Mieres.

Cheers, do note that it's RoE dogma, not vanilla BR dogma.
