There are many creative ways to kill someone, especially if someone is not wearing heavy armour. There's cutting, smashing, decapitation, shooting with an arrow or a bolt, etc.

Boring!  I prefer the waffle story.  Wonder how much I'd need to pay the bards to have some songs written up it?   :P

Stabbing. It involved stabbing. With the pointy end.

Who would do such a thing? A woman and a queen! I shudder at the thought.

She was stabbed and then drowned in syrup for good measure.

Hmm, guys, have you ever heard the phrase 'too many cooks spoil the broth'?  How many factions are involved in this mess?  What are the odds that the end result is 'everybody loses, some wake up confused with a surprise bill, some lose badly, some lose very badly?'

Hmm, temples 'temporarily assuming control to maintain order', nope, can't see anything going wrong with that, no-one would be churlish enough to suggest ulterior motives of a priest...

"Thank you, Haedan," Ramon broke the uneasy silence, "keep reporting what you hear." Roesonean commanders didn't care about informing him of any developments. To them, he was just a leader of auxiliaries which were part of their army. Still, they didn't go out of their way to hide information, which made it easy for his wardens moving around the camp to 'overhear' briefings and reports of Roesonean scouts.

Brilliant one :) And accurate - for some reason known only to Wardens themselves :)
