Seeing as there are no desire to speak at this point, the Pontiff proceed.

The evidence is presented. Every inch of Geraldine has been examined, but not sign of bodily corruption has been found. The diligent leader of the examiners even goes as far as to state that, as Geraldine is unmarried, he was pleased to find her virtue was still intact.

Altaweir Enlien: Wishes to know who these examiners are and what the Inquisition was not consulted.

Wallac: They are all priests of Haelyn, unflinching in their zeal and devotion, and sworn to the service of the Pontiff of All Anuire. Their findings are above reproach.

AE: Simply nods.

Wallac: Does any member of the tribunal wish to question the accused?

Cardinal Delvaine, assistant to Archprelate Kharnmoin leans forward from her seat behind the Archprelate and murmurs something so quietly and surreptitiously that only those watching the Archprelate see it occur.

Wallac: Very well. What is your verdict honored members? Is Geraldine here guilty of bodily corruption? Aye or nay will suffice.

Moerdred: "If Nay means Not Guilty, then Nay it is." He smiles briefly. "I have been here by a short time, and I've heard all those claims about the virtue of the Countess...it seem that a great many people are somewhat in error - and too prone to gossiping."

Wallac: "Do not presume too much young Moerdred. You may sit here in your father's place, but you are not him, and I will brook no insolence from you!"

The Governor's face is impassive, "As to bodily corruption - Nay."

Wallac: "The Tribunal has spoken. Geraldine is found not to be guilty of bodily corruption."

The Tribunal ends for the day. Tomorrow you will convene again.

As the Tribunal members leaves the Governor approaches the Archprelate Toreas Kharnmoin.

"Archprelate," he nods, "May I have a moment of your time?"

On the second day a young dark-haired woman of perhaps fourteen years of age wearing a white dress and grey cloak attends among those observing the tribunal proceedings.  Those who have met her previously recognise her as the new Sea Witch.

Settling her skirts about her, she sits and waits for proceedings to commence.

After the procedings Geraldine returns to her castle under armed escort.

She makes no effort to talk with anyone on her way out.

Her behaviour doesn't indicate any great relief upon hearing the verdict of the first day, nor does she seem overly disturbed by leaving her fate in the hands of the tribunal.

The second day of the tribunal is much like the first.

This time it is heresies of the mind that concerns the members of the tribunal.

Geraldine pleads innoncence once again.

Some IHH priests testify before you; stating that they have questioned Geraldine at length and examined her motives and purpose, but that apart from being a woman, a Khinasi and a wizard they can find no faults with Geraldine's mental faculties. Although...in the eyes of certain people any of those three would warrant the stake...but fortunately this is not a mock tribunal run by the Orthodox Inquisition...or so one would hope.

After listening for hours to the evidence the Chairman indicated that the members may now question the accused, should they desire.

The Governor indicates he has questions for the accused but will defer until after the clerical members of the Tribunal have had their opportunity to speak.
