Quit RoE
« on: October 05, 2010, 04:51:42 PM »
Guys I'm going to quit playing RoE. I've had my share of fun but find it increasingly difficult to find time and motivation to complete my DO's. Sorry for the short notice  :-[

I wish Dm's and all my co-players the best of luck with the game  :)

It comes as a surprise to me. You have seemed to be quite active. Just try one more turn  ;)

That's sad - you've invested quite a bit of time and effort here. The game would not have been the same without you.

Now that is a shame Kasper, it's been fun.   :'(

Because I've not complained to you Libor - I saw no reason to spread bad vibrations all over hence I kept it to myself but for a few places hoping to carry it through. Did not succeed though  :-\

I've tried several turns allready with issues regarding motivation. This is not a decision made lightly nor without due consideration. I realize it is very inconvinient and in particularly in regards to CoT, Roesone & Osoerde which is why I've tried to carry on the last couple of turns.

I am sorry but I think nothing good will come from me staying aboard

Have you considered maybe shifting away from the temple side of things? Wait around and see if a landed domain might open up or apply for a wiz or guild?

You've without comparison commanded the Urias post of RoE... That of Pontiff of all Anuire. You'd have to be a masochist like me to actually enjoy it ;)
Nations, guilds and wizards are comparably ALOT easier to steer. There you know who your enemies are... Not all of Anuire.

I have considered a landed domain earlier. Too late now though.

I've simply burned out and while I can help the next IHH getting started thats about it for me regarding RoE

I'll miss you Kasper, Pontiff is a godawful role and you got ddropped right in it.  On the plus side you gave the rest of us a great game role and lasted 8 turns, which is a full Pontificate!

Why not try taking a break and then come back when you aren't so burned out?  It really would be a lot more fun, and easier, without the Pontiff's chain of office choking you.  The Pontiff really is the guy who can do no right - someone in the Conclave, or several someone's will always complain.

Andy thank you for the kind words  :)

Right now I don't think I'll come back  though one can never know if I down the road try to convince Bjørn to give me a shot at a landed domain  ;)

I'm still curious as to how the story unfold so I'll likely stay around and read the forum and SR  8)
