The NPCs are actually trying out some of the nice new spell descriptions...

Aubrae caused a bit of fear and also incited a little battle fever, though her third spell got canceled by Kaven (saving her head).

Mr Innis has used Aim of the Master Archer + a high lvl summon spell (the giants) + a big-bara-boom spell + one very foggy spell.

Why thank you... to be honest, all the nice descriptions you guys are making (Maelcom's among those, he gives a nice impression of his predicament), are inspiring me to try harder. It's my hope that by inspiring each other, we can raise ourselves to "the next level" (where there's marshmellows for everyone, I hear).

Think of the GB's saved for the decreased upkeep and check your liege-vasal treaty for when Diemed can demand substitutes to take the fallens place

Certainly, you're their vassals.
 The treaty demands you pay a certain amount each season, transfer some of your RP and otherwise support your liege with armed forces in case of war. It's the standard vassalage deal.
