Anything stemming from the recent discussions and the LPA's request for peace talks will begin first thing in the spring. Once again, communications-lag-time strikes harshly. So far Landen is on the 'look we're serious, stop worrying about us invading if you say yes, we'll do it anyway if you say no' argument and Rashid is on the 'oi, get your tanks off my lawn, you have to be a friend if you want to be treated like one' side - as long as only peasants are getting killed most of the nobles won't grouch to much and either/both sides can back down fairly easily.
And if a general absently goes off on a killing spree and then decides to keep what they took when they get the peace missives, well, that's politics for you...
