Grace Period

I'd prefer if the deadline is not moved as a general rule... Some things would "better" if handled while the grace is still in effect.

Not that I'm paranoid or anything, but I AM going down to visit Osoerde this turn. 

Look, Royce was an anomaly.  Statistically speaking, fairly few of the regents who visit us are slaughtered without warning, reason, or mercy.

Begging the enemy to have mercy and not let him be the only survivor of a lost battle. In the mind of a true noble, his life is nothing without honour.

... yes. But I would not call it slaughter.
Slaughter is the brutal or violent killing of a person.
Perhaps you could say dispatched in a merciful manner? ^_^

Assuming that he's stopped chatting up elves and fey cadavers and gone home anyway...

One would hope however that there are some social mores about casual murder - sneak in and that's another story, but a formal visit known to all should be safe unless dealing with a madman.  Otherwise no-one would go anywhere and the game turns into a turtle fest.
