You may have noticed I have gone a bit quiet - I had some work dropped on me and then a massive launch this week so it has dragged my focus away. Hope to be back properly after the weekend and apologies for the delay it will cause.

No worries Matt.  I can relate.  Imagine, go on a 2.5 week vacation, and when you get back, your pile of work has grown by, well, 2.5 weeks!  I am starting to finally make a dent.  :)

Well I was hoping to be back at the grindstone this week and then they told us on Monday that the entire of my dept has been placed at risk of redundancy and that I will need to represent the team in collective negotiation.

So, the short answer is... not quite yet, probably about a week before I have the head space to start reading all the lovely stuff you have sent me. Apologies for the delay.

Until we start paying you and Andy a salary (stupid licensing laws!) for running the game, keeping your day-job has priority. Unfortunately!  Do what you need to do, and the BEST of luck to you from someone who's had way too much experience with unemployment in the past few years!  Just keep us updated on where things stand from time to time, and we'll be here when you get back.

Update. I lost my job. But. I got a new job. I am now working as a new player experience specialist As part of the community management team.

All of this has left us in a financial hole but we will crawl out of it :)
