OOC Mirror - Turn #71 - The Rebellion in Aerenwe
« on: March 24, 2012, 02:01:58 PM »
It's one of those rare autumn days you hear about but rarely get to experience. Summer is long gone, but the sun and the wind has decided to caress the world for just one more day. Framed not in the brilliant green of summer, but the dying colors of autumn brought to life again by a sun that seems to shine a lazy orange.

On this day, the 10th of Sehnir (OOC: The approximate equivalent of 1 November)...

November 1 - All Souls' Day or All Saints' Day
Yes, wyrmling, the meat is made all the more tender by armor...

OOC Damn.  I forgot to go trick-or-treating last night.

Well, the Queen certainly shouldn't have opened her door, sounds like she got a nasty trick :(

Sounds like somebody went around Aerenwe and tricks were chosen instead of treats.

Maybe the queen was handing out apples or homemade saltwater taffy.

And who would carry such order - the guards who betrayed you?

I'm not quite under impression that this was a spontaneous NPC reaction.

Agreed. But it still does not change my opinion that execution (of Ardai) was not an option. By the way, your 'loyal' vassal in Dhoenel refused to send but a single unit to aid - he cowardly fled to Elinie instead.

It was not an option because TS wouldn't have done it.

Dhon lives in Elinie. His main holdings are there. His son was in Calrie, btw. Will be interesting to see if he was among the slain or among the traitors.

That is one of those awkward questions, isn't it?  This is why I've gotten increasing paranoid the longer I've played RoE.  Makes me understand some of the kings in my British History class a lot better, frankly, when they had always seemed pretty kooky before...

lol, and there I was thinking it was only me. I thought Bjorn was trying to develop my character as paranoid or something :)

Not paranoid enough, it sounds like.  Athough normally one would expect that mind-controlling AND wrapping an enemy in chains would be enough to keep him from stabbing you...

We're as paranoid as we can afford to be. Had the queen survived, she would have transferred 0.8 GB and 2 RP to the next turn :D

Speaking of stabbing, no one said that she was stabbed by Ardai. Actually, no one said she was stabbed in the first place. ;)
