A long line of hard-faced mounted men files into Moriel under the watchful eyes of Archduke Osoer's soldiers. In the center of the column, a pair of ornate carriages leads a small train of wagons. The carriages are very fine, but their beauty is all but ruined by the soot and scorch marks covering them. The carriages' coat of arms is that of South Hold, but black cloths half-cover it, and the knights bear small black flags upon their lance heads.
As the carriages reach the palace, the first stops and releases Baron Bellamie, dressed similarly in black down to his leather gloves. His head is bandaged and his face lined and marked in places with the livid scars of burns. He gives orders in a low voice, and several servants step from the second carriage and begin unloading bags and boxes and continuing in his train into the palace.
