DDC: 8.
The DDC assumes promotion from advisor to hireling status or from hireling to henchman status. Add 5 to the DDC, if promoting from advisor to henchman status.
The DDC assumes promotion of a character, who is very well known. Add 5 to the DDC, if promoting a character, who is fairly well known. Add 10 to the DDC, if promoting a character, who is not well known.
In the context of promotion, follower is interchangeable with hireling.
