Michael Jackson & Farrah Fawcet Dies
« on: June 26, 2009, 12:30:14 AM »
Farrah Fawcett died from cancer.

LA Times is currently reporting that Michael Jackson has died. CNN has not confirmed this.

BBC confirms.

He named his kid "Prince Michael Jackson II" ?  Seriously?

Hey, if you are the "King of Pop", your son is definitely a "Prince".

Rest in peace old mate. I don't remember you from the Jackson Five days, but I do remember your breakthrough solo career. It was about the same time MTV came to Denmark. They were showing Thriller as often as they could.

Here's hoping no rotten stories will turn up that he actually did molest little kids...

Indeed. Eccentric is an understated characteristic of him, but he was a musical genious and my idol throughout my childhood and early teens (alongside great personae such as Storm Shadow (G.I Joe) and Bumblebee  ::)). I hope the media will allow the public to remember his great accomplishments, and not focus on his later years.

Rest in peace.

Neither held much meaning to me, though I am sure that sadly Michael Jackson will always be remembered with a tinge of the uncomfortable.

I do however have great sympathy for their loved ones who are left behind, none of whom will have an easy time of it with the press crawling all over their lives. 24 hour media is a killer of so much and privacy for one's grief is one of those casualties.

As a musician, MJ gets my vote as an all-time great.  Too bad his personal life will forever taint his professional accomplishments.

OK, no disrespect to MJ or Farrah, but I've heard some pretty FUNNY jokes out there (it's inevitable guys)...
