This is intended to be a private thread between the Pontiff and the Archduke.

William speaks quietly to Caine Tshalen. In a way, it is very intimate and personal.  They speak for some long minutes, before William smiles and grasps his vassals forearm in comraderie. The Baron smiles thinly before nodding in deference and turning away.

William approaches the Pontiff.

"Your Holiness, may I speak with you?"

Your Excellency have but to ask

Williams begins to walk with the Pontiff towards the Imperial Cairn.

"This day has seen many things that were probably better left unseen, no?"

"Indeed Your Excellency. More to the point the transgressions seems so utterly pointless in the greater perspective."

William seems curious.

"And what do you believe the greater perspective to be?"

"The Sovereign power struggles happening all around Anuire is no business of mine; I rather ignore them and leave the wheeling and dealing to the Sovereigns. The greater perspective as seen by me is the threat from Awnsheglien and their agents."

Sighing the Pontiff looks the Archduke in the eyes. Not with challenge but with sincerity

"As a boy I was prophecied to become a priest. Recently I have been feeling that my purpose of life is drawing closer. There will be a fight against darkness and I need all the help I can get. Pontiff Aurlien divinely inspired recruited the Sword mage to do the work of the CoT. That work is not finished and I need her help.

I gather I also need men with the ability of the Green Knight."
