: Wedding of Roesone & Tornilien
: X-IHH/Wallac Isilviere (Kasper) March 26, 2009, 09:37:07 PM
Fresh from their wedding; Baron Roesone and his wife, Duchess Tanar of Tornilen. Both leading the Roesone contingent to war.

And of course, Archduke Carvaloen and his chief vassals are leading the greater Dieman contingent as they cross the great white bridge over the Maesil, and for the first time in living memory fly the banners of Diemed over Avanese soil...it is as if the great Duchy of Old was marching to war. Thousands of people line the banks of the Maesil to see them go, shouting well-wishes to then and curses at their enemies.

What a honeymoon - directly to war; I thought they where off to Roesone

Hmm... actually, only Arvour is spending an adventure action this turn for the war, not SM as far as I know, so there might be a minor misunderstanding in play here :)

Perhaps she just got too excited to let her husband far from her side :)

I think this rumour is pointing ahead - in autumn, the Swordmage will also be running around... swording people for glory and exp ;)

I have to proclaim this marriage null and void. Because marriage is an union of man and woman. And you both lost your sex together with other stats. Sorry, there is nothing personal in it.

They are nobles; their marriage can be for untold other reasons than the sex

Nah, ETN is right, we all lost our gender during those sweeping changes. Ouch! And I hardly even noticed..

You're used to losing limbs so any gender associated losses wouldn't be that much of a problem anyhow  ;D

It'll be a marriage of political convenience, not love... why look they speak less than once per month (unless they take a diplomacy action!)  ::)

Indeed; and it is not at all 'proper' either, seeing as how it was decided and consummated within a few short weeks. Completely scandalous. And that is without taking into account that the SW is a Vos sorceress.

But dont that goes well with followers of the Stormlord?

Actually, I'd be more concerned with the independent-minded Roesonan commoners and nobles.

One could hope the independented approach to life of the Roesone people give them the ability to leave the Baron alone when he decides to wed Duchess Tanar  ::)

But dont that goes well with followers of the Stormlord?

What I meant is the Baron and the Duchess are followers of the Stormlord and its not a secret that the Baron is a paladin of the Stormlord; hence there might be less surprise in him making for a wedding like this. Arvour is a good lord to his people much concerned with their wellbeing and, as far as I know, not interfeering with their, private, choice of religion respecting that the majority of Roesones people follow Haelyn.
Still IHH is the state faith of Roesone and entitled to respect from the Baron as such; a respect that he has so far given and likely will continue to give. The treaty between state and church while the details is not public knowledge is known partly; The church and state cooperate on many levels which cannot be held completely secret for the people

Independent minded; not lax on justice, tradition, ethnic matters, magic or the fact that a foreign temple conducted the marriage ceremony.

Is MOC considered a foreign temple in Roesone? MOC have holdings in several provinces of Roesone?

Ok maybe that part's not so bad, but still, there are a lot more Haelynites than Cuiraecenites around.

Which is why the official state wedding ceremony will be held by IHH in a propper maner and not at once - next season. Then the wedding will "become official" in the eyes of the Haelynites of Roesone yes?  ::)

On a side note MOC have presence in 3 provinces of Roesone. A total of 5 temple levels and one of them a level 0 temple (Fairfield)

Latest reports from SASI's lumber camps in Abbatour indicate that there is a huge increase in demand for firewood. Especially the slightly wet, long burning wood is popular.

Why is that?  ::)

True but now part of greater Roesone  ::)

Besides Fairfield was not part of Ghoeran  ;D
