Hi guys!
I'm arranging a New Years eve party and all ROE players are welcome!
Dress code is formal/festive.
In order to ensure a good standard of food and drinks, there will be a charge of some kind. Around 200-300 DKK ~ 25-40 EUR.
If you have special requests, feel free to contact me.
I estimate we'll have between 15 and 30 participants.
Feedback required prior to December 15., either by email, phone or PM. :)

So feedback in this thread is not wanted?

formal / festive? Isn't that a contradiction? :o
Is the idea we go out (thus formal) or that we all go to your place (suggesting festiv/casual)?
The 1st of Jan is a Saturday so plenty of time to recover / get home...

I think you are all supposed to wear suits and tuxes but they must be Red and Green :)

And the scary gentleman with the dagger wins a teddybear! :-)
Exactly! - you are welcome to wear a clownsuit, but a jacket and a tie in a flamboyant color is more in line with what I was trying to express. :-)
-
If we could move Australia to the North Sea I'd pop a flight over and turn up in a suit with a fluro pink shirt and the most garish purple velvet tie you have ever seen :)
-
If we could move Australia to the North Sea...
I'll get right on that. ;)

ENGAGE THE CONTINENTAL TRANSFER CANNON!!!!

Wait- NO! I told you already it's 'experimental'. Oh dear God RUN! He's gone mad!
-
*looks at the BFG pointed at Australia*
It looks like a baaad idea.

Oh, I don't know, we in New Zealand might have a different opinion on that ... ;)

What I don't understand, is why we'd want to transfer the aussies here - and not take scandinavia (or rather Norway and Denmark, screw the rest) to warmer climates? A sunny and warm New Years sounds like a wonderful concept to me. Certainly beats freezing your butt off while having to go "oohh" and "aahh" over the colourful display of fireworks everybody has to set off.
-
Yet, having Scandinavia moved to the general area of Indonesia has lost much of its charm... The climate, while warmer, really sucks down there.
-
Hey, if we can build a continental transfer cannon, I imagine we can fix most anything.

Aha! This can be fixed with Science!
You see, the displacement of air due to the transfer of Scandinavia to the area will force the inclement weather systems away in all directions, providing DAYS of beautiful, calm weather before the consequent megastorm resulting from the destabilized atmospheric patterns sweeps over the region and renders it utterly lifeless. So, all you need to do is arrange your plane tickets in advance and then work on your tan, worry-free!
........SCIENCE!

Somehow I think bringing kids to the party would be considered contraproductive and thus wont show up at Niels New Years party but I am all for moving Norway and Denmark to a warmer climate.
Oh and yes that include the rather exciting phenomens around Indonesia - hell we dont even have to bring our own fireworks ;D
-
Heh, yea... I didn't consider that. The party will most definitively not be child friendly.
At another party we hosted, there was a drunken race in the stairwell. The loser had to get stitches but was back to party a few hours later. ;D
He just never did see that pillar...
