Turned in last night, although I need to finish writing up my action descriptions. Lots of talking with people still to be done, though, due to delay from a mini-adventure. People I am talking to - I apologize for the delay! And also for the smokey smell and the soot stains I'm leaving on your carpets! How're other folks doing?
-
Sent it friday ... but recently I found I forgot off/deff pool comments, so maybe a new version will follow ...
-
my DO was delivered friday as well.
-
I delivered my DO about 3am this morning but it needs some going over to beat it into better shape for Bjorn...

In but subpar.
I am somewhat finding it difficult to deal with the excel sheet for descriptions. It is great for numbers, accounting and whatnot, though.

I turned mine in about 2 hours before the deadline. Note to self: do not procrastinate DO's to be finished on Mother's Day.
I agree with Alan's comment about how this new DO template in excel has many advantages around the calculations and other advantages of automation. Overall I really like it a lot, and consider it a big step forward. My problem is that I like to occassionally write excessively long action descriptions. The action description cell on the Main sheet can only be expanded so big, then the text disappears on the page (though can be read one line at a time at the top of the spreadsheet).
To fix this, I tried adding a spreadsheet dedicated strictly to text. The idea was that having all of the longer text descriptions on big/wide cells, all on one page would be easier to write, and easier to read for Bjorn. I created one large (wide) column for text, and a row dedicated to each action description on the Main sheet. Regent Action 1,2,3, Court 1,2,3 etc. I then tried to import these bigger (page wide) text cells into the Main sheet at it's corresponding location, but ran out of time (Mother's Day, you know) and failed. I still think conceptually it is a good idea though.
Many thanks again to everyone who has put work into this excel/DO project. This is good stuff. :)

Write the descriptions in word then paste it into the spreadsheet when done.

Please keep those DOs coming.

Too Long actually. In some cases, I have been forces to use a comment (which apparently has a larger word-limit than a cell

I'm late :-[.
I'm all about finished but I've hit bit of a brick wall. See I don't have the foresight to actually download and save the P&H when it comes out - I just bring it back up every time I need to look at it. Now I have a problem that I need to finalize my DDC etc. calcs on a few actions and I can't find the download section on the new sight - am I just blind?
-
It's moved. It's under "the Herald (DM Announcements)", then one of it's child boards "Imperial Library (hidden)"

Yes I'm and idiot for not seeing that.
Still given I'm functioning on less sleep that I thought possible I don't feel that inadequate.
Daughter finally seems to have her days and nights sorted out YAY! Maybe she won't be up from 2 until 8 tonight!
-
If you miss it Mark, I feel certain I can do a half-decent baby-imitation and give you a call at those hours?
Bjørn: How many DO's are in (or how many missing, more likely)?
-
I don't send it yet but I need a kind reply to a question I've sent to Bjorn some days ago
-
Delivered! - Better descriptions to come though, and pool allocations.
-
Very good!
