A gnoll army has passed through Dhalier and entered Serien - the Barony is once again under siege.
That Baron should seriously consider investing in some gnoll-repellents.

Get you KAVEN gnoll repellant today, only 9.99 Crowns

Really its not the Gnolls I'm worried about... :-\

I hear ya. It was the same the last time... only thing is, they make a hell of a compelling argument for worrying about them when you're up close and personal. ::)
-
...and the good thing about these gnolls...the DM will NEVER EVER EVER run out of them...just look at the size of Aduria ::)
-
Have you considered to send the Green Knight down there on holiday?
-
He's busy touring the Citadel in Ilien...

Yeah... I've been talking with my chief advisor, Master Albertus One-stone, about creating some device to solve that. ::)
He's busy touring the Citadel in Ilien...
... And on the left we have a wholesale slaughter. Mind the limbs... :P
-
Actually, why not invite the Gnolls over to Ilien for a huge BBQ? Lot's of meat laying around. A few bonfires and they can have a field day, just need some extra booze shipped in.
-
Let me rephrase that - I'm not as worried about the Gnolls as I am about some other things. The thing about Gnolls is you know what to expect - slaughter, burning, looting, and eating of babies.
-
Anyways - off to court - be back to deal with this mess later
-
OOC: This is so cool - and provincial - that army, a potent force in Mieres, would hardly qualify as a detachment in one of the big Anuirean wars...
Ok, now that just hurt. Can I please have my balls back.
-
Send your foe packing without calling on outside forces, and you'll have accomplished what even Avan haven't. That should help retain your balls, methinks. ;)
-
I think you just reclaimed them...
-

Geraldine can have him giftwraped for you and sent down there if he is really needed ;)
-
I think you just reclaimed them...
Yay! My wife was getting upset since they were only on loan from her.... ;D
Wow - it is a really good thing she would never read these boards.
-
VERY nice - only ne unit destroyed, and you'll just need to rest the others. That's how a victorious battle should look. Maybe you can come given Kaven some pointers. ;)
So congratulations! You have defeated this generation's gnoll threat! Mieres is now safe for another.... oh, year and a half, at least! :P

Or so you assume. This is not the hidden part of forum you know ::)
But congratulations for the splendid victory. Glad that the Pontiff in his great wisdom have been holding on the right horse down here in Mieres 8)

Show me a battle that doesn't require me to assault a fortified position, and I'll gladly attempt to reduce the number of casualties :P
But nice work on the gnolls no less. :D
-
Thank you, Thank you pure strategic genius on my part - I guess Haelyn really does help those who help themselves... (stops and looks up in anticipation of the lightning...) Phew
Of course while I should be relishing in the victory now I'm just nervous and paranoid about when the other shoe will drop...
-
Seriously - this is the level of maturity I have to deal with;
In WM 10 the Governor has a dispatch from Kirr - the people of the baronial capital have thrown open the gates and greeted him and Count Charen as heroes, but Harald refuses to allow them entry into the citadel.
::) >:(
Fine! Take your ball and go home, we'll just have the party elsewhere and you'll still look like and idiot. And people wonder while the Governor dislikes the nobility....
-
... He indicates that he understands that the nobles would likely prefer to meeting in Serien, and so would have he, but that is not possible as "the gates on the Caer appear to be broken."
I thought the Governor's modus operanti in these circumstances was to fling small pebbles at whatever appears broken? :D
-
I'm never living that down - am I? :-[
-
Hell, if it worked once....
After all, what could go wrong?
-
Exactly! What's the chances that the same shit can happen to the same man twice after all? (Discounting John McClane, of course)
Mark, had you considered using that other obilisk-thingy as an offensive weapon? Mounted on a vehicle and with a slingshot handy I think you could inflict some serious pain. ;)

Famous last words...
After all, what could go wrong?
Yeah see- that's what I thought the first time - the answer is apparently "one whole hell of a lot."
-
It was one so much fun!
And it did work out - even when High Priestess Maire conjured up a horde of undeads!
