WM 7

The Archduke, having held only a stately pace (to speak with Patriarch Daouta) finally arrives in Sutren Hills.

The Mhor has taken his men back to Mhoried.

Baron Blaede is still there with a small command.

Send scout and outriders ahead to scout Periltrees and Brushfire. Osoer wants to know where Tshalen is. Word to the Marquis as well.

WM 8

No sign of Tashalen, but Periltrees is chocked with Haensen color and HA templars.

Word is sent north to the Marquis.

I do not like that this thread still lives.

It is Boding is it. Are we going to have this thread every time the Archduke moves troops through Elinie on the bloody highway?

- Wait, the highway is Not bloody! - It isn't! - That is not allowed!  :)

And, the Patriarch points out to Osoer, the usual and agreed route is from Chalsedon --> Mholien --> North, not via Ansien.

It's not supposed to be able to go directly from Chalsedon to Mholien; provinces have to touch in a meaningful manner on the map for movement to be possible.

There are two viable routes:

Chalsedon --> Sendouras --> Mholien --> Sutren Hills

Chalsedon/Osoeriene --> Ansien --> Soileite --> Sutren Hills (well, you could go from Ansien to Mholien of course, but that a more arduous route). If there is going to be built a road I'd strongly suggest the later route.

Yes, thats the one we were going to do, it just hit me though, that all 4 provinces touch in that little corner. It seemed excessive, that the 2 miles of highway inside Sendouras would cost the same as the full lenght roads in Chalsedon and Sendouras.

But ok. And this is going offtopic. :-)

Ultimately, it would have been a bad decision to send the highway through other provinces and not Ansien - basically, it would have diminished Ansien and made provinces like Chalesedon much more accessable and viable.

The decision is made and in the treaty, if large numbers of army units are to pass through Elinie, they can damn well walk up in the Grey Hills and make life just a little harder for the smugglers and other bad ilk that travel those ridges.

It definitively on purpose that I laid the route outside of Ansien. If you look on a map, Ansien already has major roads leading in from both Coeranys and Osoerde. Upgrading these might come in the future, but they are not for troop transit.

Seeing as the Archduke has no special orders his men are camped in Shattered Hills and he gets to speak with the Marquis etc.

Turn ends.
