DM B:
Hi,

The domain overview shows domains in the following format:

- Domain Name (Domain Type, Alignment, Power, Difficulty): Domain description.

Domain Type (Kingdom, Barony, Temple, Guild, Mage) - A Kingdom is a sovereign realm. A barony is a smaller sub-realm, often a vassal of a kingdom. A temple has temple holdings, a guild has guilds and trade, and a mage has sources. There are several domains that combine two or more types (such as Barony/Temple or Barony/Guild).

Alignment (LG, LN, LE, NG, N, NE, CG, CN, CE) - The alignment entry shows the general alignment traits of the domain. The regent might be of the same alignment, or he may have another alignment.

Power (Pitiful, Weak, Slight, Moderate, Strong, Powerful, Overwhelming) - Power is an overall measure of all kinds of resources and influence available to a domain. Sovereign realms will usually come out higher than more specialized domains (a guild might be the most powerful guild in Anuire, but might score only Strong on the power scale).

Example: A guild that is listed a being 'weak' is likely pretty big, but in overall economical and political power it is not on par with the great realms of Anuire.

Difficulty (Simple, Easy, Average, Challenging, Difficult) - As with power, difficulty is an overall measure of how complex a domain is to run. Kingdoms (and to a certain extent also baronies) usually have a higher difficulty than other types of domains, since they have many more factors they need to relate to. Temples are frequently fairly complicated as well, especially if they cover several different realms.

DM B:
SOUTH COAST

Aerenwe (Kingdom, NG, Moderate/Strong*, Average): Aerenwe is a medium-sized kingdom located in the south-eastern corner of Anuire. It has fallen on hard times, and it will take a skilled ruler to restore it to power. Tasaenae I Swordwraith, a woman both graceful and noble, yet rugged and tough, is Queen of Aerenwe (and High Warden since last autumn). Aerenwe claims the island of Caelcorwynn. Liege of the Wardens. *Includes the Wardens and High Mage Kawela. Recommended. Taken.

Bellam & BC (Barony/Guild, N, Moderate*, Challenging): This barony has gained much wealth and power; but in the process it has gained enemies too numerous to mention. Can Bellam's rise to power continue, or will its enemies catch up with it and drag it down into the abyss? Most would tell you that the later is far more likely - but there is something about Baron Tristan Bellamie...and that something - grace, eloquence, courage, dignity, foresight, luck; he's got it all - might just be enough to defeat he odds. Liege of two minor domains. Vassal of Osoerde. *Includes the BC. Available. Taken.

Diemed (Kingdom, LN, Overwhelming, Difficult): Diemed is a powerful kingdom located around the Straits of Aerele. The kingdom has risen in power over the past decade, but has many external enemies and even more domestic issues. This is by far the most powerful domain available for players; but with great power comes great difficulty and endless complexity. This is NOT for the casual player - a really dedicated and tenacious player is needed. Carvaloen Diem, a young and vigorous noble warrior, is Duke of Diemed. Diemed is the liege of several domains, including 3 player domains; Endier, Medoere and Ilien (currently in rebellion). Recommended. Taken.

Ilien & PCE (Barony/Guild/Mage, N, Moderate*, Average): The sovereign realm of Ilien has recently fallen under the sway of the Duchy of Diemed, and its ruling line has been extinguished and replaced with a regent of lesser blood. You get to combine a small (but powerful) barony, with a combination of guild and source holdings. While an interesting mix, it will likely lead to a chronic shortage of actions and lack of focus; hence the high difficulty. Gerladine el-Mesir is the Countess of Ilien. Ilien is a vassal of Diemed, but is now in rebellion. *Includes PCE. Recommended. Taken.

Medoere & RCS (Barony/Temple, N, Slight/Moderate*, Easy): The barony of Medoere is closely integrated with the RCS temple, and as regent you rule both. Medoere is relatively well protected, but suffers from a lack of freedom that hampers its growth; both when it comes to temporal and spiritual power. Kaven Enlien is Baron of Medoere and High Priest of the RCS. Medoere is a vassal of Diemed. RCS is a vassal of the OIT. *Includes the RCS. NPC domain.

Mieres & SAS (Kingdom/Guild, NE, Strong*, Average): Remotely located on the other side of the Straits of Aerele, Mieres is largely (but not completely, as history has shown) protected both from mainland attack and intrigue. There is ample internal plotting though. The regent of Mieres also runs the SAS guild, making him a very wealthy ruler indeed. Arron Vaumel is the long-time Governor of Mieres and master of the SAS. Liege of Serien. *Includes SAS. Recommended. Taken.

Roesone (Kingdom, N, Strong, Challenging): Roesone is a young and vigorous kingdom centrally located within the play area. Despite many wars and hardships, the realm has grown and become strong. Roesone is ideal if you like a challenge; expect much interaction with other players. Baron Aruvor Raemel Roesone is a canny old mercenary turned noble; he's considered one of Anuire's most skilled knights at the moment. Recommended. Taken.

Serien (Barony, LN, Slight, Easy): Serien is a Barony in Mieres (and a vassal of Mieres). It isn't very wealthy or powerful, but it has an unique location at the edge of civilization. Serien is an ideal domain if you'd like to explore and settle new provinces. You are also far removed from the plotting and the wars of mainland Anuire, which may suit some players very well. The Baron of Serien is the aging Xavier Zenneth. Vassal of Mieres. NPC domain.

Wardens of the Erebannien (Barony/Guild/Temple/Mage, CG, Weak/Slight*, Easy): The Wardens protect and rule the provinces of the Erebannien (in Aerenwe). They face some internal challenges, but have few external enemies. This domain is not for a player who wishes to interact with other players much. The Wardens are the vassals of Aerenwe. Queen Swordwraith, who was a Warden in her youth, is High Warden after the disappearance of Lasarus last year. Vassal of Aerenwe. Liege of High Mage Kawela. *Includes High Mage Kawela. Also see Aerenwe. NPC domain.

DM B:
HEARTLANDS

Alamie (Kingdom, NE, Moderate, Average): Alamie hasn't fared too well under Duke Carilon Alam's twenty-year reign. Finances and loyalty were always problematic, and it didn't help when he was charmed by the Eyeless One and lost his sanity. Now, however, things may be looking better. The Duke is married to Anasatiae Daulton, formerly Grand-Maester of the KoH, and she is carrying his son and heir. Claims some lands in the Five Peaks. Northern provinces almost completely depopulated. Ailing regent. Allied to Ghieste. Recommended. Taken.

Avanil (Kingdom, LE, Overwhelming, Difficult): Avanil remains the strongest kingdom in Anuire. Prince Darien Avan ha not, however, been overly successful in his many attempts to defeat House Boer. Indeed, as the war has dragged on, the Prince has repeatedly neglected Avanil's other interests, losing lands, vassals and allies. In a war with Boerunie. Liege of Taeghas and Brosengae. Recommended. Taken.

Endier & KoH (Barony, N, Moderate*, Average): Endier is a small (one-province) domain that is run by the order of the Knights of Haelyn (think Knights Templar). In addition to their one province, they indirectly also control a vast guild network (HO) and thus have quite a lot of wealth (and military power). Count and Grand-Maester Guy de Nichaleir is the regent. Endier is a vassal of Diemed. KoH serves as the militant arm of the Conclave of Temples, as commanded by the Pontiff. Liege of HO. *Includes HO. Also see HO. Available.

Ghieste & HOT (Kingdom/Guild, NE, Strong*, Challenging): Ghieste is a new duchy that has been formed by the fragmentation of Ghoere. In addition to ruling three provinces, the ruler of Ghieste is also the ruler of the Highland/Overland Traders, a very big and powerful guild. So with this domain you get to enjoy ruling a realm, and running a guild, both of which are quite wealthy. The down side is that Ghieste & HOT has a VERY long list of enemies, and not so many friends. Allied to Alamie. *Includes HOT. Also see HOT. Recommended. Taken.

Mhoried (Kingdom, LN, Moderate/Strong, Average): Mhoried still suffers from the after-effects of a devastating civil war - the provinces have yet to heal and much resentment and suspicion remains. Mhoried also has an interest in lands of the former goblin kingdom of Markazor. Constantine is Mhor (Duke) of Mhoried. Recommended. Taken.

Tuornen (Kingdom, N, Moderate, Challenging) Tuornen also suffered from the ravages of the Eyeless One's magic and marauders, leaving its northern provinces devastated. In addition Tuornen has been caught in the web of alliances and wars between Avanil and Boeruine. The realm is currently unaligned, but Prince Avan is in de fact control of her rich southern provinces. Now Duchess Laela Flaertes not only has a weakened realm to attend to, she must also somehow get rid of Avan's influence. Recommended. Taken.

Tornilen/Sword Mage (Kingdom/Mage, N, Moderate, Average): Another part of old Ghoere, this kingdom is not large or rich, but its ruler is renowned; the insidious Sword Mage. Recent actions by the Sword Mage has done much to heal old wounds between her and the temples; but there are still many regents who will not deal with Tornilen at all. Also see Sword Mage. Recommended. Taken.

DM B:
EASTERN MARCHES

Baruk-Azhik (Dwarf, Kingdom, LN, Moderate, Average): The dwarf kingdom of Baruk-Azhik remains aloof from Anuirean politics, but has some added interest in Coeranys and the lands of the Chimaeron. Rumor has it that the orogs beneath the Iron Peaks has launched their greates offensive to date. Liege of the Royal Guild of Baruk-Azhik. NPC domain.

the Chimaeron ("Kingdom", CN, Slight, Easy): The Chimaera was defeated years ago by the Three Brother Mages. The region is loosely unified under the Council of Leaders, but the real power behind the throne is the TBM; or at least it used to be when Master Meganno was around to call the shots. Vassal of TBM. Also see TBM. NPC domain.

Coeranys (Kingdom, CG, Moderate, Average): Coeranys, situated as it is in a remote corner of Anuire, is lucky to have few enemies. It does, however, have a very big and very 'benevolent' next-door neighbor in Osoerde. This, and the general poorness of the realm, are the main challenges facing Coeranys' ruler. Willam Deaulen is the lord of Coeranys. Recommended. Taken.

Elinie (Kingdom, LN, Strong, Challenging): The kingdom if Elinie is ruled by Khinasi blood; the only such realm in Anuire. Traditionally a very stable and prosperous kingdom, Elinie stood on the brink of civil war three years ago, following a palace coup. The power struggle the followed was unique in Anuirean history, since it did not result in bloodshed. Instead each of the three contenders for the throne accepted joint rule. Each has their own supporters and power base. The main challenge for Elinie is continuing to avert internal strife and to restore stability, and hopefully once again unifying Eline under one rule. Rashid ibn Daouta, Adaliz bint Daouta, and Gerad ibn Daouta are the Patri-/Matriarchs of Elinie. You get to play as many of them as you want; how you do will shape the future of Elinie. Recommended. Taken.

Kiergard (Kingdom, CE, Moderate, Difficult): Following King Raenech's attack on the Gorgon, the Swordhawk moved in to seize Kiergard for himself. He is still nominally in charge, but the entire realm is very unstable. Vassal of the Swordhawk. NPC domain.

Markazor (Not applicable): Markazor is not a true realm anymore, the goblins have been (largely) driven away, and the provinces divided between Osoerde, Elinie and Mhoried. Not applicable.

Rohrmarch (Kingdom, LN/CN, Moderate, Challenging): The decades-long civil war in Rohrmarch continues, even though both King Alaric and Prince Oden have become old men. For years there have been on real fighting, but that may be about to change. MOC envoys have been sighted in Oden, and King Alaric are rumored to be seeking aid from Sendoure. Other regents have also been implicated, from the Swordhawk, the TBM, the dwarves of Baruk-Azhik and Coeranys. You get to play one of the factions. NPC domain.

Osoerde (Kingdom, CN, Powerful, Difficult): Osoerde is by far the strongest kingdom in the Eastern Marches. It has suffered from years of hardship and war, but with diligent rulership it could grow to become one of the great power of Anuire. Yet it is being watched closely by its neighbors, who have little reason to trust the rulers of this realm. The canny old warrior and politician Willaim Osoer (Moergen) is the Archduke of Osoerde. He is married to Marale Roesone-Raenech. Also controls Bhalaene. Bellam is a vassal of Osoerde. Recommended. Taken.

Sielwode (Kingdom, CN, Strong, Moderate): The Emerald Queen does not maintain diplomatic relations with anyone, except (very rarely) Elinie, and violently deals with any intruders. The realm might as well be on another planet. NPC domain.

DM B:
TEMPLES

Celestial Jewel of Sarimie (CJS) (Temple, N, Moderate, Easy): The CJS is the strongest temple of Sarimie in Anuire. The strength and wealth of the growing middle class in the Heartlands is playing right into its hands. Recommended. Taken.

Eloéle of Mieres (EOM) (Temple/Guild, CN, Slight, Easy): The EOM is a smaller temple that only has real influence in far-away Mieres. Currently involved in a many-sided power struggle over who will actually be calling the shots in Mieres. Vassal of CJS. State faith of Mieres. NPC domain.

Eastern Temple of Nesirie (ETN) (Temple, NG, Moderate, Average): The ETN is one of the larger temples in Anuire; while Aerenwe is its core area, it retains holdings in many other realms as well (Ilien, Mieres and Shaeme). Has poor relations with Osoerde (but not Bellam/South Hold) and the OIT. And despite having a strong and stable core area in Aerenwe, there is a problem - Maire is the only known scion of the old Aeren bloodline, and as long as she lives the Queen of Aerenwe cannot be certain of her true motives...and so there is much distrust between the two. High Priestess Maire Cwyllmie is the regent - she is quite likely the most powerful (in magic) of all Anuirean priestly regents. Liege of THB. State faith of Aerenwe. Recommended. Taken.

Haelyn's Aegis (HA) (Temple, CG, Moderate, Average): The HA has faced great challenges in the past, but has managed to endure. It remains one of the great temples of Anuire, but the temple is weaker than it once was. The HA is the largest temple in Mhoried and has some holdings in neighboring realms. Robhan Khaiarén is the Marshal of the HA; he is perhaps the single most respected priestly regent in Anuire, enjoying good relations with most temple regents and sovereigns. State faith of Mhoried. Recommended. Taken.

Hidden Temple of Cuiarécen: Vassal of NIT. NPC domain.

Impregnable Heart of Haelyn (IHH) (Temple, LG, Moderate, Challenging*): The IHH has become famous through the political involvement and great adventures of its last two regents - but the temple itself has been neglected and has suffered loss of holdings and power. Roesone is the IHH's core area, but there are some holdings is neighboring realms as well. The IHH is the leader of the Reformist temples within the Conclave. The Regent is Wallac Isilviere, a tough and uncompromising priest that could possibly turn the Pontificate into something worthwhile...if he's willing to let the IHH continue it's slide into oblivion. State faith of Roesone. *The High Prefect of the IHH holds the Pontificate.Recommended.

Life and Protection of Avanalae (LPA) (Temple, LN, Moderate, Average): The LPA enjoys a strong and stable core area in Elinie, traditionally a benign and stable realm. This is no longer the case, however, since for the past three years Elinie has hovered on the brink of civil war between three factions, each led by a Daouta. Moreover, although a strong temple, the LPA is surrounded and overlapped by the HA, MOC, IHH and ETN - any two of which could easily defeat the LPA. State faith of Elinie. Available.

Militant Order of Cuiarécen (MOC) (Temple, CN, Moderate/Strong, Challenging): The MOC is not as wealthy or influential as the OIT or WIT, but it is significantly more powerful than the other second-tier temples. It has a strong core area and a central location in on of Anuire's richest areas, with more temple holdings in neighboring realms. The MOC has (many) more enemies than it has friends, but has good relations with Ghieste and Tornilen. Patriarch Leman States is a cunning old warrior and politician. His heir-apparent is Drago Tanar, redeemed High Priest of Belinik and brother to the Sword Mage. State faith of Ghieste and Tornilen. Recommended. Taken.

Northern Imperial Temple: Liege of HTC. NPC domain.

Oaken Grove of Aeric: NPC domain.

Orthodox Imperial Temple (OIT) (Temple, LN, Strong, Challenging): The OIT may well be the most powerful temple in Anuire, after the WIT, and commands great political, religious and military might. Yet the OIT suffers from constant internal strife as supporters of Gielbert Aurlien and Narvelon Diem-Avan continue to clash openly, while lesser factions vie for power in their shadow. Moreover, it is also in a state of conflict with the Duke of Diemed, the sovereign of the OITs core area...AND the OIT has really bad relations with the ETN, and by extension the other Reformist temples (having pushed the ETN firmly into the IHH camp)...AND the KoH has broken away to follow the current Pontiff...AND there is of course the ever-present scheming from the WIT over who will be "the" Haelynic temple of Anuire. The regent is, since Gielbert Aurlien's forced abdication last year, Narvelon Diem-Avan, Carvaloen Diem's younger brother and the husband of Duchess Aubrae Diem-Avan of Taeghas. Liege of RCS. State faith of Diemed (and by extension Ilien, Medoere, Endier and Shaeme). Recommended. Taken.

Temple of Hidden Blessings (THB) (Temple, CG, Weak/Slight, Easy): The Temple of Hidden Blessings is something unique to Coeranys/the Chimaeron - a temple equally dedicated to four gods; Nesire, Avanalae, Cuiarécen and Lareme. It has poor relations with the ETN, but very good relations with the LPA. Vassal of the ETN. State faith of the Chimaeron. See also ETN. NPC domain.

Western Imperial Temple (WIT) (Temple, LN, Strong/Powerful, Average): The WIT is by far the strongest temple in Anuire. Liege of CJS (EOM), PSN, TOF. State Faith of Avanil, Alamie and Tuornen. Recommended. Taken.
