Off on a Crusade

Hi all,

Looks like I'll be taking the Pontif's advice and head on a crusade to the east. More specifically my company is sending me to work in Baku, Azerbaijan. They aparently need a new airport terminal out there, and I'm the only one who can help them 

Off on holiday to Rome next week as well, so might be a slow start this turn for me. Considering how long turn 69 dragged out this might not be a problem  It is rumoured that we'll have wiffi access in our apartments, but I'll take that with a pinch of salt until I'm actually there and get a reasonable result on speedtest.

Looking forward to the usual diplomacy and backstabbing in the coming turns.

Yes, I've managed to avoid being sent to Libya. Somehow I think all the projects we're involved with there won't get much further.

Glad you did NOT go to Libya. Azerbaijan is I guess not on top on your wishlist..

Enjoy the trip to Rome and when you do get to Azerbaijan try to give some of the local music a chance - I've heard they have a spectacular mix of western and eastern music making for something entirely new. I am currently listening to a piece made by a rockband and a military orchestra(!) - sounds great

It was not quit the top of my wish list either, but not the bottom either. Far better than being banished to places like Saudi Arabia or Leeds!

I'll try my best to sample the local culture, but I have a feeling I might mostly see the insides of a small, stuffy office and some soul-less apartment complex.
