: X-Tuornen/LF (Geir) September 06, 2009, 09:09:38 PM
So it's free for all war now in Turn 65?

not that I have any plans...
: Re: Turn 65

Yup.
: Re: Turn 65
: X-Ghieste & HOT/GH (Matt) September 07, 2009, 09:55:15 AM
Seems likely. And there are several player(s) on player(s) actions in go already... should be a very interesting turn indeed.

Even for those of us studiously on the sidelines of these conflicts.
: Re: Turn 65
: X-EOM/SS (Marco) September 07, 2009, 10:14:35 AM
but usually we must wait for the returned DOs of #64 before the start of turn #65.

Am I right?
: Re: Turn 65
: X-Ghieste & HOT/GH (Matt) September 07, 2009, 10:28:03 AM
You are correct yesterday. It is also normally polite for us to wait for the glorious DM to at least fire the starting pistol before we start running!  ;)
: Re: Turn 65
: X-Tuornen/LF (Geir) September 07, 2009, 11:11:09 AM

Discipline appears to be very good. I have not seen any that purposely start off prematurely.

It can get a bit quiet as we with honest patience wait for the new turn to start. But this waiting has deep elements of foreboding. The cliché “quiet before the storm” could be well fitting.
The fog the covers the future hint at what to come, but mostly one can only discern mere shadows out there in the land of time to come.
Well, then there are the scions that have the gift of foresight. The years next season is as familiar as the last for such, indeed they see fog too, but further afield out there in the land of time to come.
: Re: Turn 65

got my DO today! :-) I am happy.

...now I await the PH. I am excited, but more from expectation then dread I must say.
The Plan holds true, like the blade of finest steel cutting cleanly.
: Re: Turn 65
: DM B September 21, 2009, 02:37:26 PM
I'll have time for a new batch both tomorrow and Wednesday, so everyone should have their DOs back by then.
: Re: Turn 65
: X-Tuornen/LF (Geir) September 21, 2009, 04:49:32 PM
as I have my DO now I may not be the right one to say this but still, take your time Bjorn.
It's your game, the rest of us are just lucky to be allowed to play.
: Re: Turn 65
: X-Elinie/RiD (Niels) September 22, 2009, 03:11:54 PM
I've begun wondering if it would be any sort of help if I moved all the war information from the emails into the DO for turn 64, or if I should just update the DO for turn 65 with the results...
: Re: Turn 65
: X-IHH/Wallac Isilviere (Kasper) September 25, 2009, 12:34:05 PM
I expect to have a little time to look into my returned DO sunday before sunday evening but if received after that I may likely not be able to do much RoE before a week have passed or possible longer.

Bjørn Please either bear over with that or try to return IHH DO earlier  ::)

EDIT: Seems gmail is currently down. I expect the issue to be solved today but one never knows. Bjørn you may like to send my DO to my alternate hotmail account as well as gmail

EDIT II: My Firefox constantly refreshes 'Loading...' page
Some users of gmail have reported that Firefox continually refreshes as Gmail loads. If you're experiencing these infinite browser redirects, sign in from our secure site at https://mail.google.com/mail.

That solved my access issue and thus my gmail is again an option to communicate with me  :)

Could we maybe start some slow IC dispatch action? as a warm-up? Save any large surprises I think the P&H should only confirm the results of the DO, so I'm ready to go about scheming and dealing again.
: Re: Turn 65
: X-Ghieste & HOT/GH (Matt) October 08, 2009, 02:03:07 PM
I think a number of people are waiting on their DO's - starting dispatches without them seems a little rude  ;)
: Re: Turn 65
: X-Bellam & BC/TB (Bobby) October 08, 2009, 02:37:14 PM
I don't think there's more than a handful of DO's remaining, but those players'd probably be a touch peeved to get left behind.

Meanwhile, everything alright on your end, Bjorn?  Are we just seeing the impact of Jon's departure, or are you having to deal with other problems?

I believe Bjørn have told no to similar question before and probably will tell no again.

I for one have not received my DO and to be left behind by those fortunates that have by them starting to exchange dispatches, will not exactly cheer me up  :o

Please wait and be happy you got your DO back - use the extra time to fine tune the logistic etc  ;D

In fact using the time to start on your turn 65 DO is a good start; I know I have made a start on that at least....

: Re: Turn 65
: DM B October 18, 2009, 02:15:37 PM
Sorry I'm so slow...a bit of illness, a bit of work, a bit of autumn depression...I'll do my best to finish the rest of the DOs this week. Then you can start dispatching.

There's clearly a need for the DM to eat more cake to keep energy levels up. It's a known fact that cake has fantastic healing powers.
: Re: Turn 65

As do hot showers.  Hot showers cure anything short of decapitation.

A *hot* shower, don't forget... cold ones will do nothing but make you cake all soggy :P

In old videogames I used to play when I was a young boy to heal myself I usually needed to find coca-cola small cans
: Re: Turn 65
: X-Bellam & BC/TB (Bobby) October 20, 2009, 07:05:26 PM
Hm.  We'll need some kind of cake-protection-dish built into the shower, clearly.  I'll see what I can sketch up.

Yeah, plus a small refrigeration unit blowing in from the top.  We'll need that to keep the steam from the shower from coming up from below and ruining the cake icing.

I was about to get ill but eating serious amounts of Garlic and lots of sleep kept me going and the next day I was back on track albeit in need of keeping the distance to other people due to some small smell issue  ;D

However that probably wont work that well with child less than 2 years old - my thoughts go to the parents and the sick child

How do you eat lots of sleep?  :D (just jerking your chain. I'm seriously at risk of loosing my mind at work due to an insane boredom)

Even if it doesn't, you can probably sell the secret anyways.  I am beyond disbelief at the things people will unblinkingly believe in the medical field these days, just because a celebrity or "this guy in one of my forums online" says it's true.

Oooh... interesting! I'm always up for new experiences. Especially when beer is involved. My initial thought is, that it would go well with roasted lamb. :P

I've tried alcoholic beverages (some kinda wierd shot-thingy) with garlic and chili... First of it's not the thing you'd want to get drunk on, and secondly it's just plain *bad*
: Re: Turn 65
: X-Elinie/RiD (Niels) October 29, 2009, 12:14:50 PM
Garlic cures anything. Even bad breath. - That is, if YOU eat garlic yourself; anyone elses bad breath becomes less of an issue.  ;D
: Re: Turn 65
: X-IHH/Wallac Isilviere (Kasper) October 30, 2009, 11:18:50 AM
Since you guys insist having garlic as a topic; cook the garlics in water for say 20 minuttes and then pour out the water - then you can use your garlic in your food without the bad breath potentially being an issue
: Re: Turn 65

With actual garlic and chili?  Ew.  No, this is garlic-infused (flavored) vodka.  Still not very good, but better than THAT would be.

Interestingly, the peppercorn vodka wasn't bad.

With actual garlic and chili, yeah... it was free, which does wonders to the flavor, but still not recommendable... I had to try it out, surprising stuff may make good drinks or shots - like peppercorn, for example - wouldn't have thought that  :)

Are you FUCKING kidding me!!!

My son now has an ear inflammation (not is it called that - but its when puss and shit cause pain by pushing against the eardrum). Most likely a direct result of him having the flu earlier on. And the missus has something similar with her sinuses. So now both are at home...I mean, come on, this is getting silly!!!!

I have several meetings today, but I'll try to get Coeranys and PETG out. They are mostly done already, just need to add in some last details.

I've heard of pouring warm salt water in the ear to dry out the inflamed areas.  Based on our previous discussion, I will now recommend pouring Kasper's garlic-water in his ear.  Also, at a certain point one does have to wonder if we're just not SUPPOSED to have this turn.   ::)

Good luck dealing with it all, Bjorn - sinus and ear problems are some of the worst, and it really sucks having to watch your kid deal with the pain involved in them.  Best wishes.

Avoid using penicillin if at all possible.

Its been shown that if you do use antibiotics to put down an ear infection, the risk of it happening again is higher, than if the body manges to handle it on its own.

On the other hand, if his head is melting it may be the best thing. :-p

It's been silly season at work since I got back from holiday, so have barely had time to check my e-mail.
