: An oriental flavoured campaign.
: Ruideside/OM (RP) December 18, 2013, 01:33:42 AM
Since Roe III seems to be a non-starter, at least for the time being, I am considering running a campaign in an oriental-flavoured setting I put together over the last few weeks.

I would be using the rules I use for my real-time campaigns, which are the RoE 2.21 rules, with a few modifications and tweaks essentially only to actions, structures/resources, and realm spells.
I expect to be in a position to start play by the end of January.
If you are interested, then let me know, and if we can get together enough players it will be a go.

Well we have 4 people from over on Birthright.net who have expressed an interest. A few more and we can make a go of it.

Color me happy.

I am currently trying to think up a viable campaign premise for 5 to 7 players, I have a couple ideas that might be fun, but the milieu doesn't lend itself to such a small scale very well unless the players are all landed realms, which is a little boring.

Not necessarily boring, all landed realm games tend to be a combination of diplomacy and warfare, with a small dash of intrigue and espionage.

You can make some epic storylines out of that.

True enough!

5 players, 5 Paramount Lords - it seems fated.

Well, since there has benn no real interest here, other than Tristan, I figured that rather than cludge up this forum with it I would create a separate one for it.

I will be uploading content shortly once I am done tweaking the holdings to balance the new configuration.

Well it turns out that there is not in fact 5 players interested, so we are still looking for players if anybody is interested.

I might try my hand as a player (seeing as Xenophobia really didn't take off) . I cannot guarantee I'll be super-active, but I'll give it a go if you get enough players to reach critical mass.

That would be awesome.
We are actually at 7 players, with 2 others expressing an interest, so with you that would make a nice even 10.

OK. I'd like to play either a guild-conglomerate or one of the temples. Maybe a druidic one? The concept was cool, but I'm not sure how playable it is? Stick me in somewhere I can be useful, without too much hinging on me.

Consider it done. You can be the druidic temple.
