Character class/level for fighting men

(1/1)

DM B:
Hi,

Since RoE II is somewhat less heric/epic than the original RoE, classes and leves haven been downgraded somewhat. Here are some examples of what to expect.

Elites
Use the "elite" array of 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8 - most will have two very good physical scores (usually Str and Con) and one bad mental score (usually Wis or Cha).

Ftr 1 = Squire or armsman
Ftr 2 = Young knight or senior armsman
Ftr 3 = Experienced knight or NCO
Ftr 4 = Veteran knight or NCO

Musters/mercenaries
Use the "professional" array of 13, 12, 10, 10, 10, 8 - most will have two good physical scores (usually Str and Con) and one bad mental score (usually Wis or Cha).

War 1 = A professional soldier
War 2 = A tough veteran
War 3 = A junior NCO
War 4 = A senior NCO

Milita
Simliar to musters/mercenaries, but class is mostly Expert, not Warrior. Good abilities also tend to be dictated by primary profession, but most militiamen will have at least one good physical score (and never a bad Str).

Levy
Levy is the same as milita, but is composed of people with Commoner levels. They use the "commoner" array of 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10.
