I really want your psychodelic blue chair...

Congrats, Bjorn!

When do we need to get a house-warming gift?
: Re: Mi Casa!
: DM B October 05, 2011, 10:24:35 PM
You can't have the chair. My daughter claims it as her own  - others rarely get to sit in it :)

I get the keys next week. Then I estimate a month or so before we can move in.

It will be excellent. A big room in the basement for games and merriment and an upstairs office for important stuff like RoE :D

What a cozy, minimalistic (furniture wise) appartment. Lovely :) Especially the veranda.

4400 Euro/sq meter, is that the average price in Trondheim.

We've tidied up a little bit extra and removed an old green armchair that usually sits next to the fireplace...but otherwise its essentially how it is...oh wait, there are no horde of 10-year old boys there and no girl's toys floating around.

The veranda is very very nice. Very sunny. Very excellent for eating. I will miss it.

The average price for an apartment is around NOK 30.000 sq/m which is about EURO 5000?

But our area is rather expensive.

I love Trondheim! - It is such a lovely compact and beautiful town. Hope to go back and visit some day, very nice drinking establishments along the docks and nice restaurants.

Hellishly expensive though. :-)

Good Luck with the move Bjorn!  We moved about 2 years ago and I think spent the first year ripping out stuff and replacing it (floors, counters, not to mention building the pool).

I want a pool too!

(could use it for at least a few days every summer)

Greg lives in Cali. He gets to use his pool all the time :)

Get a jacuzzi, Bjorn. It seems more fitting for the norwegian season (winter).

Meanwhile in Norway:

Got a lot done this weekend. Stripped out a lot of stuff. A couple of afternoons and the upstairs bedrooms should be ready to begin their makeover this weekend. Then I need some flooring for the upstairs corridor...hope to get it all done by next weekend. then I can move downstairs.

I'll put in some before/after pictures.

Had you considered just tearing everything down and building a castle instead? I hear its all the rage!

And, if you need some help with the demolishing-part, I know some guys in Boeruine that comes very highly recommended...

No, no demolishing. Just assassination of select parts of the house!

Ghieste where art thou?

I had loads and loads of people stop by to look at the apartment...it was a bit slow in the beginning, but then it picked up. At some point I lost track of all the people. I think that's a good thing :P

Btw: The eldest was 92 and the youngest less than 1. Cool or what!?
: Re: Mi Casa!
: DM B October 19, 2011, 02:14:51 PM
Wow! Despite a great number of people showing up there have been absolutely ZERO offers. Not even a low one. So that seems to indicate there is absolute ZERO real interest in someone actually making a real purchase. Which means that I now have a useless apartment on my hands. Great.

Or that someone test if the price will drop.

I say stay cool for now

I think he should go look for SASI instead. More assasins there... Slightly toasted, but assassins none the less.

Good one!

I'd like my assassin toasted please, and with fires and peas on the side.
