On which month does it start? Is only a Diplomacy action on that month required or do we need to take Diplomacy as all three actions for the turn? Can we still take Court and equivalent actions to arrange some small matters at home while attending the Sword and Crown?
-
The S&C is the entire turn. 1 diplomacy regent action gets you acces to the S&C.
Any more questions? Read the similar chain in the Q&A forum.

I suppose domains with Vasals could prefer to make a court session at home for only their vasals and participate in S & C themselve for a total of 2 Diplomacy Actions
-
of course their vassals might then go to the S&C anyway... particularly if unhappy with the results of diplomacy at home!
-
Vassals generally don't go to the S&C - unless invited or player run (Medoere & Ilien)
-
As I have understood this S & C we use a regent action to get access, but the rest of our DO actions can be used as normal. Right?
-
A diplomacy Action - could be regent, bonus action or Lieutenant action
-
Quite correct both of you, and to quote the rules on this so all will know what's going on:
Diplomacy [Character, Free, Realm, Regent] (p. 90)
Realm – Diplomacy can be used as a realm action by spending one court action for each domain invited beyond the first. Your domain is now said to be holding a Court Session. This is what the Chamberlain of Anuire is doing.
Free – While your court is in session, any regent invited may use a single diplomacy action (regent action) to execute any number of diplomacy actions (as free actions) with you or any other participating regent. This is what you will be doing.
-
So our own private court sessions cannot held more than our courts province level +1.
Had not thought of that before now. The Chamberlein however can only host 12 domains ???
I guess we make an exception unless ofcause certain domains will get banned starting with IHH ;D
-
Think of special structures like the Magnificent Court and then update it to the version that is at the ancient centre of the Anuirean empire.
-
...and the S&C is a special case anyway, so you don't have to worry about the poor Chamberlain and his usual max number of attendees. But he appreciates the concern :)
-
You should also note that two domains with their courts in the same province may cooperate and pool their total court levels.

Cool. So a temple and a sovereign having court in same province could make for a real big courtsession :)

Not entirely sure where this comes from?
-
An educated guess?
I borrowed the Chamberlain's court for my version of the S&C in RoE I. So through diplomacy it should be possible to borrow someone else's court.
And I think it makes sense ruleswise and logically that two realms can pool their strength if they have courts in the same province. Otherwise you'll never see anyone else be able to host a grand get-together - which, though rare, cannot be completely impossible.
-
Oh but the spying possibilities - and the chances for double crosses and backstabbing 'but sire, you said to work with them, of course they helped us plan the battle strategy!'
-
Don't forget to describe the arrival of your noble/pompous and fearless/arrogant leader at the S&C. It's always a classic ;D
