The following rules apply:
Elite and Crack units cost +0.5GB/turn in upkeep
Legendary+ units cost +1.0GB/turn in upkeep
This applies equally regardless of unit type (so infantry and cavaly have the same extra cost). It also applies to ships. Fortifications do not have experience.
