Rockhammer is sent to scout and pillage Prince Oden's province of Werthagen. His detachment consists of:
Ervan Vaul Rockhammer
2 Scouts (Brecht) - Green
Mercenary Khinasi Cavalry - Elite
2 Outriders - Skilled
2 Outriders - Veteran
Scouts - Veteran
-
War move 1:
The Rockhammer takes his scout-heavy and highly mobile force into the forested hills and highlands of Werthagen.
War move 2:
He manages to engage some Oden irregulars, routing them and chasing them into the wilds. He is, however, unable to do anything - at least not right away - about the keeps along the southern border (PO law fort 3). His proceeds to stage punitive attacks on some villages and smaller towns, but is frustrated by local fortifications (StS guild fort 2 and EJ manor fort 1).
War move 3:
Word reaches Duke William, requesting infantry support. The Rockhammer also makes it clear that his cavalry force will be next to useless once winter weather sets in.

Once again; why would the KoH move to Werthangen?

The Crusaders are just very very eager to get going, aren't they!?

As per agreement with Bjørn I wait acting untill JP is back from his illness

During WM 4 the new reinforcements starts neutralizing hostile fortification, freeing the Rockhammer to really rampage across the province. One small town and a handful of villages are put to the torch. And good amount of supplies are confiscated (5GBs).
WM 5:
Siege? Assault? Continue to raid? So many options...
-
Ervan hawkishly surveys the keep before him. It is well-defended, of that he can easily see, even as it is slightly hidden by his breath in the crisp autumn air. It matters not though for he will see the offending stone his all the same.He organizes sends his scouts and half of his outriders to screen his force, while calling for the remaining outriders to dismount for the assualt on the Prince's men.
The hairs on his neck stand up as a brief thought passes his mind. Is this a test? How fares his liege? How will he fare? He stills his mind - steady as stone - 'I shall not disappoint...'
-
Ervan Vaul Rockhammer gathers his men around, knowing full well the effect of strong leadership in the critical time just before battle...
"Soon the time will be upon to test our mettle vs. our enemy. Sharpen your blades and your minds! When the horns of battle blow, we shall take the enemy by storm!"
-
You successfully storm PO fort, law 3. Casualties are light on your side.
Regulars (Auxilliery (WD); Unknown/E)
Partizans (Auxilliary (EVR); Unknown/D)

WM 6:
The Rockhammer engages in a little battlefield diplomacy; the StS fort (basically a few fortified town and large villages) isn't causing you any trouble at all, but neither is it surrendering.
The EJ fort (traditional fortified manors and keeps) surrenders when it becomes apparent that it's up for assault this war move.
Scouts report that a few irregulars might be hiding in the highland forests.
The Rockhammer request some additional infantry from Lord Osoer. With it he hopes to take Osternord before the winter.
WM 7:
Alaric's militia arrives from Friedlund to garrison the province.
-
WM 6:
Osoer wants him to stand his ground for now. The assault on Oden will commence soon and Osoer would have him present for that. Deal with the Irregulars in the northern highlands then return to Oden.
Word is sent to Alaric concern Werthangen, appraising him of the situation there, and offering him the opportunity to reinforce it.
His army consists of:
Ervan Vaul Rockhammer
Scouts (Brecht) (Osoer; Green/OK)

WM 9: There is a raid by enemy irregulars coming down from Osternord. The attempt is repulsed without much fighting.
-
WM 10: Werthagen is firmly under crusader control. Alaric's militia help garrison key towns and villages. There is some resentment, but not overly much. The Rockhammer is having little success dealing with the bands of irregulars hiding in the forests and hills; on the other hand the enemy has absolutely no effect on crusader control or operations.
-
Let them feast on dirt and rock and when the cold and utter hunger drive them to recklessness, let them come down from the highlands and find no warth -- for every door shall be barred -- nor food -- for every grain shell be shut-up tight.
Rockhammer is recalled to Rohrgaard.
-
Rockhammer returns with his men as ordered. The mood and morale of the troops are elevated, his men feeling victorious in their substantial accomplishments this season.
-
Werthangen ends the turn in crusader hands.
