How do I get into the chat? It wants my username and password, but they don't work?

Was "DM Jon" the name you signed onto the boards with originally, or was it changed later? I, for example, use "Thorsten" when I log it - not "Medoere & RCS/KE (Thorsten)".

I have admin rights, so I can go in and both check and change my login name and password. So that's not the problem...

Perhaps you intimidate it? It may be shy.

If you log info the forum first you should not even need to log into the Chat separately. So this is odd.

Perhaps the ancient logic engine of the chat rejects the heretic ;D

Sometimes the chat asks me for login too. Just refresh, and it should pick up that you are logged in already and let you through.

The chat function is embedded into the main page of the forums, called the ShoutBox. If that isn't even appearing (at the top, under the Home/Help/Search/Etc. button row), then there's clearly something not running right.

Wait a sec...maybe your usegroup isn't assigned to the shout/chat...
