: DO #63 submitted
: X-Mhoried/Droene Kavarra (Iasonas) May 25, 2009, 11:40:01 PM
I guess it could be a very useful thread for the DMs, to keep track of things. It could also serve some of us who tend to have huge losses of memory  ;D ;) (just joking).

I handed my DO #63 v.0 today.

My first re-tread is in already  :(

Anyone else played with doing a new template?  I did a word one to stay similar in feel to the old DO, but in retrospect excel would have whomped it...

I submitted a proposal for a new DO as well, but I totally agree with you. An excel doing the basic calculations would be perfect.

Yes! Please! I feel pretty sure Bjorn is swearing in seven different languages, when looking through my DO.
I... suck... at anything with numbers. :P

Not that I want to sound arrogant, overbearing or anything like that but...

...ever heard of the calculator?  :P

I haven't even considered making a new template yet, and I don't think I will unless I suddenly have a eureka moment. I honestly think the template we have now is just fine, but then again I've used it (or previous versions of it) for more years than I care to count now  ::)

I'd better go find that calculator...

I have. The only calculator I own though, is on my pc. And I'm telling you, switchting back and forth between a word-document, and the calculator on a laptop, without the use of a mouse, get's really tiresome really soon.
Besides, my problem is more in the lines of "I don't quite know how the formulas work". So I have to have a copy of the Regents Guide open also. That's three different things... Add in the forum-pages which I update every 5-10 minutes, and my mail, where I look at all the agreements and idle talk that has been made, and it starts to get really confusing.  ;)

An excell-template with the formulas put in, would really ease my day.

Hehe, using the windows calculator can be a bitch, yes. And grasping the rules can be hard at times, though (without blaming the DM's) my main problem is that I tend to forget the rules between one DO hand-in and the next.  So I need to relearn the rules every turn! ;D

I totally agree with Rune. I've just realized I had a bonus plus for some actions and I didn't consider it in the previous turns... ;)

Wow.. I'm kinda relieved I aren't the only one suffering from DO-amnesia :D
I have a plan though, that might help me out: Print the whole damn regent guide, so I have it in booklet-form. (Yes, I belong to the group of people who find it easier to read on paper, than on the screen)

It might be an interesting idea.

I dont't read the whole Guide but I, from time to time, read what I need looking for it in the Guide

I too belong to that group of people  :D

A question was asked elsewhere whether the lack of DO deliveries could postpone DO return.

As far as I can hear from Bjørn, it won't.

I star processing Saturday evening; if your DO is in after that its too late.

Heh, the rules are not the hard part, for me the hard part is making tough decisions - every turn I find myself faced with multiple priorities and options. Every turn something new shows up.
The fact that this is the hard part is a sign that this game is going well indeed - those parts are supposed to be hard, but still I throw my head against the wall trying to find a way to do everything.

Sigh, all I need is an Artifact that will give me unlimited RP, GB, and Actions pr. turn.

It would seem that certain loans from the SASI to Medoere and Diemed have been left out of the P&H. I have allowed the players to enter the amounts in their DO's as extra income.

Perhaps the transactions supposedly to be known to the rest of us be posted by the players involved to satisfy our curiosity?

What is in the P&H isn't common knowledge, so players are obviously expected not to know about stuff - even if they can see it OoC (like loans and vassalage agreements, accurate income etc.)

I do not think anyone wishes to make his "bank account" details available to the public. Unless they are somewhat tampered with   ;). What a wonderful application of espionage that would be ::sigh ::)

Ideally everything would be really secret, but then it would be very difficlt to play he game, with one P&H specifically designed for each player...
