BRFC #1: 5E language rules.

I have worked up a rule for handling languages under 5th edition. Let me know what you think (and I already know it adds a ton of complication, but that is the intent).

Talinie & NIT/TD (Linde):
I think it will work as intended in ftf games. But can't help to feel that some sort of  bonus to players who role play their linguistic dificulties could solve the problem equally well and with less effort. At least if the rule is intended for pbem or pbp.

I agree, however it has been my experience that without a set of rules and numbers, the vast majority of players will not do that, or will argue the DM's ruling. That and some sort of rules or guidelines are necessary if one is to have a complex set of languages rather than the very generic ones in most published D&D settings (which was too much fun to create to pass up).
The rule has been updated BTW, to cover learning and improving a language.
