How to do the perfect DO that makes life easier for the DM's

The perfect DO is of course on the inside, but that's another matter completely. Most of the Q&A has answers on how to perfect your DO.

The perfect DO that makes life easier for the DM's consists of a few simple tricks:

1. Always save as .doc files (unless the standard changes obviously)

2. Always name your DO with Domain name first; i.e. not: DO #62, Boeruine, v. 248
But: Boeruine, DO #62, v248

3. Avoid ()[] - well at least before your domain name, it wreaks havoc with alphabetizing.

4. If you update your original DO, then enter a version number or a date for the update in the filename.

5. Enter the version number in the topic of your email; i.e. not just Boeruine updated DO, but Boeruine updated DO v. 277
