And Tyrion is clearly my favorite character in the series as well as in the books. How can you not love a little runt like that?

Jaime is awesome. The epitome of what every Avanese citizen should strive to be (sans the incest).
When I find myself in times of trouble, I often ask myself: WWJD? What would Jaime do?

Having not read the books, I must say my sympathy lies with the young Stark girl with Needle and the sister to the Dragon, married off to the barbarian king. ( I suck at names, forgive me )

How they both rebel against expectations and try to carve the world into a place where they make their own room.

The Bastard at the wall is too moping and weak to inspire any emotion. - Tyrion is indeed awesome in contrast!

Daenyrys is pretty cool, if a little scary.  All the power that winds up in her hands, and she's still SO young and still figuring the world out... sort of that world's Alexander the Great.  Lots of chances for her to really cause terrible things without meaning to.

I'm fond of Bran.  He holds up solidly under a lot of crap, especially given his age.

Watched 3 episodes thus far...and I'm quite enjoying it. Not totally blow away though...but that may be because I've ready the books. I guess the lack of suspense detracts from the experience.

...and I'm also starting to think of things that made me more or less give up on the series (book-wise that is)...

Bobby, so all Avanese citizens should aspire to be attempted child murderers? Jaime is a great character and is going through some interesting development, but his moral compass is skewed, to say the least.

And yeah, Tyrion is the greates of them all. Can't wait to see him come back at the Dragon Queen's side, eager to tear down everything his father and his damned family has built... they will BURN :D

Oh, but how easy my life would be, if some loyal citizen had shoved the children of the Boer's out the window loooong ago. To survive in Anuire, one requires ruthlessness and dedication. We've seen that time and time again. Jaime has both of those, plus a strong sense of loyalty and fairly decent skills with a blade. What's not to like? :P

Ah, seems I for some reason messed you and Bobby up. I agree with Bobby, he is slowly getting some decency beaten into him.

Well, one of the cool thing about the books is that even the worst bastards are understandable. You can see where they are coming from. They generally make sense as characters and the whole Lannister lot are excellent villains, even though you can see how they became that way. Still looking forward to seeing them all perish in dragon's fire though.

That's just because you're Norwegian, and used to long winters. We Southrons prefer the summer, thank you very much.

Our dear "Sam the Slayer" seems to have put a kink in the White Walker's plans. It will be interesting to see though, what will happen to all the petty little conflicts once the white walkers and who knows what else comes down south.
