any up for adventure in 70/Summer?
« on: February 24, 2011, 05:56:23 PM »
I have plans to do a classic adventure next turn but I would prefer not be the only player :-)

So anyone want in? ;-)

I can say as much as that it will take place in Tournen and that I don’t expect it to relate much to other realms. I hope it’s fun and maybe rewarding. Both AAs and PC welcome, but they should be up for a fight with the odd ogre or orog along the trail.

Don’t forget that 10 f. pole!

Tempting, though it's a bit far from the sea for me.

Sounds like a lot of fun though.

Come! If you can’t have Aneira go then surely you have some underling to ship off up the river! You know all sea’s stem from rivers  ::)

See I'm against putting myself in any danger whatsoever if I don't see any benefit/profit in it for me so....

Danger (noun)

1. the state of being vulnerable to injury, loss, or evil; risk
2. a person or thing that may cause injury, pain, etc.
3.
the odd ogre or orog along the trail

naaa don't be a sissy! We'll have a small army along to clear away any annoyances. Just look the other way passing any fallen and have that perfumed handkerchief ready when the stench becomes overly hideous. Surely it can be disturbing to see the wilds so closely but it will make you appreciate the halls of you palace that much more later. And it builds character.

And it builds character.

If you want charater there are easier ways to get it. The Church of Sarimie is more than happy to have character built for you and then installed in a quick and easy process.

Why build character when you can buy character!

The Governor has plenty of character  :P.  Besides I think you need to take a jaunt in the Shadow World and live to tell about it before you can start calling Vamuel a sissy.

If there is an adventure it should have some real purpose - something greater than 'I want an adventure'. That applies especially if multiple regents gather.

Oh, well jokes aside, this adventure is one I have wanted to do for some time, it’s out of a genuine Domain Secrets rumor so it’s actually a very serious matter. I’m just hoping some other player can join in, but looks like I’m alone on this one. People a busy with their own stuff I know….

People are busy AND you provided no details beyond "adventure, possibly orogs", so no one's characters have any reason to join you.  If you want assistance, Dispatch to your allies and/or geographic neighbors and give them an IC reason why they have an interest in helping, whether that's because it'll benefit them or because you've still got those pictures from the last Sword and Crown involving them, the Swordmage, Princess Avan, and several bottles of the finest rotgut whiskey ever brewed by goblins.

Basically, don't look for PLAYERS to join in.  Look for CHARACTERS to join in.
