Things are pretty much ready to roll.

I've notified our two other players that we'll be running things over here, so they will head over and become members and we'll...play!

Quick question: how big is this ship we are investigating, and is it Warp capable or just interplanetary (I'm guessing that Azrael ought to be able to tell)?

Raider-class voidship => could be an Imperial or Chaos ship ?

For a Magos or an Inquisitorial Savant, it should be easy to recognize the allegiance and the precise Class. ;)

Also sidenote, Oshgor is based on one of my former DH character:

Azral is 96% certain it is a little-known type of raider called a Chariot.

Raiders are the smallest type of escort. In size they approach the limit of what can be made warp-capable and battle-worthy. Ships of this size are more commonly found as system ships within the Imperium. Most raider class vessels are thus system ships belonging to various PDF forces. Warp-capable patterns are found in the hands of xenos, pirates or renegades. Some are warships from the keel up while others are converted freighters.

The Chariot-class is an STC-pattern vessel found raiding in some parts of Segmentum Obscurus, particularly in and around the Finial sector and surrounding areas. Records indicate a length of 450 meters (approximately). Few other details are known, except that i’s fast, carries a light battery complement and has negligible armour. It is an unusual design in that it's main hull is fairly flat and wide, unlike most Imperial vessels, providing it with a rudimentary lifting body and aerodynamic shape. The pattern's original purpose is not known, but during the Great Crusade some of these ships were used to land smaller titan patterns and heavy armour. Crew aestimate in the low thousands.

Template: Chariot-class raider

Seemed to be a pretty standard Imperial vessel in terms of markings and heraldry, but who can know for certain in these times?

Thanks Green Knight. It was the crew numbers I was particularly wondering about as a few thousand means none of our warbands are going to be able to take the ship individually, so we'll need to work together (as I'm sure you intended).

Yes.

Unless the ship was severely damaged in the crash (in which case it won't fly, so it's a moot point) OR was running with only a skeleton crew to begin with: Chances are slim for your band to take it on your own.

Both of the other players are having trouble registering; the site is not sending out confirmation e-mails, which is making things difficult.

Ok, I hope that they will join us soon !

Green Knight wrote:"It would appear it is a Chariot-class vessel Sire. The Imperial Navy would classify it as a light raider-type ship, barely large enough to be warp-capable and useless in a pitched battle. The Chariot is primarily used in and around the Finial sector Sire. Mostly by rogue and renegade elements, but some hulls can be found in the hands of the wealthy - as personal pleasure craft, fast couriers, or priority transports. The pattern is unusual in appearance to say the least, but it is uncommonly well suited for planetary landings."

Nemus adds: "The makings are faint and inconclusive. Could be an Imperial craft - or not. So hard to tell these days."

Thx !

And what about the xenos fighters ?
Eldars / Dark Eldars ? Something else ?

Kage is setting up profiles form them manually once they send him an e-mail, so I'm hoping soonish.

The xenos fighters were sleek and predatory, with multiple asymmetrical wing-pylons surrounding a central combat pod. Just short of a hundred meters long and massing a few thousand tonnes tops. They did not conform to any known STC-pattern, not did they fit anything your savant has seen before.

Logic dictates they were carried here aboard a much larger craft, seeing as they cannot possibly be warp-capable.

Osh returns: "The ship was a mess Master. No survivors. Only this." He empties the contents of a makeshift bad upon the rockcrete floor. It looks like a massively over-sized head - about the size of the human thorax. The coloration is dark; shades of grey and dark greens. Six eyes, arranged in clusters of three. A wide fanged mouth, two vertical slits where a nose should have been. No hair or feathers, only rubbery skin with bone-like protrusions that form an irregular pattern.

That description has me thinking rather of the Protheans from Mass Effect.

New players still having trouble logging in. Kage has manually made users, but they haven't been activated so we're still waiting.

DM B:
I wanted to bring over the data, but I didn't bother with formatting it. It should suffice.

LordPsycho:

--- Quote ---If you want to you can easily see where the line goes. If you can't see it, ask. I'll explain in more detail.
--- End quote ---

Not sure if all Warbands are supposed to cooperate to take control of the ship  ???  :P

--- Quote ---Every Champion starts with:

Resources: 0

Note that Resources aren't static - they have a tendency to become used up: Just like warband squads can be destroyed and ships shot to smithereens, resources can (and will) dwindle.

For now the only thing you need to know that Resources: 0 is only barely able to support a Warband: 2. You need to find some supplies (i.e. improve your Resources), particularly if you want to improve your warband.
--- End quote ---

Maegon and buddies (except the 5 scouts) will stay in the Hive and search for resources.
1) Food, ammo...
2) Observation point overlooking the crashed ship and its surroundings
3) Communication center
4) Anti-aircraft and/or long range artillery battery

=> I'll post IC about that  ;)

DM B:
1) Always in short supply, but yes, setting squads to scavenge will help.
2) The crash site is a bout 60 klicks away from the hive, across horrible and dangerous terrain. If you climb at least 500 meters up your might be able to view the site on a clear day (or using techy gear). Provided there is a line of sight in the first place. To find out someone needs to climb a broken hive spire.
