Before sending a followup to make sure that someone has gotten your email.

I'm normally the wait a week sort of person before I send a follow-up.

But I was wondering how long do you normally wait and does it change depending on who you are emailing.

I wait about a week with some players, a few days with others (the ones I regularly have contact with and know to be active). It really depends on how fast they've been in the past.

Of course there's those I can simply ping on the chat and ask directly. Or send a text.

It also depends on what is currently going on in the game. If you are in the middle of a combat sequence in an interactive adventure I'd think an early query would be much more reasonable. For some more generic dispatches it might be more acceptable for some more time to lapse before resending or asking if an answer is forthcoming.

And also on what is known to be going on in real life.  Over periods of public holidays, for instance, people are often away and checking their emails less frequently.

For me, usually about a week though with others (such as Thorsten) I know I'll get a response quicker than that.
